Slow rise BBT and TSH 2.65

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone else has a slow temp rise after ov over 4-5 days and if this means I have a progesterone deficiency?
Temps rise from I mentioned it to my GP who seemed to get a bit cross and said she’d never heard of that. I’ve read on here that GPs are notoriously rubbish with this type of thing. I also recently had blood tests and thyroid TSH was 2.65. I’ve again read that it should be lower but as it’s technically in the normal range I feel like there’s no point in going back my my GP and asking.
Only been TTC for 3 months (first) but I’m almost 34 and don’t want to miss and red flag if it’s something I could have dealt with sooner.
Really appreciate any feedback. :)

Thanks for replying! My temps are not much different from yours in LP but I have lower pre ov temps. I’m being a bit stupid but how do you post your chart? Smile

Below the comment box there should be a little paper clip, you need to click that to add photos. But if you’ve only just joined you have to wait 24 hours x

@Ez87 did you have any further progress on your bbt or with your gp? My bbt is rising slowly too although I'm sure I ovulated yesterday! Would love to hear how you got on!

Ez87 · 11/03/2021 15:11

@Fifi1086 SorryI forgot to reply to this. I have had a bit of a rollercoaster since last post, had a chemical pregnancy after last cycle. I was so delighted but now just worried it could have something to do with low bbt/thyroid levels. I haven’t taken it further yet as I think my GP will just tell me it’s normal. I mentioned my bbt being low before and asked could it mean low progesterone and the GP was dismissive and said she’d never heard of that. Just going to keep trying but I’d have another CP or no luck I’m thinking of trying to get a private consultation to have some tests done, but I don’t want to waste money.
So hard to know what to do! Attaching my last cycle.

@Ez87 Hi, my TSH is 4.1, I’d be delighted if mine was 2.65! My GP also says my TSH are normally even though they obviously are not! I’ve had 2 chemicals, one in November and I’m in the middle of one at the moment! Chemicals are fairly common and I honestly wouldn’t worry about your TSH. I’m trying my GP one more time with my TSH now I’ve had another chemical, if no joy I’m going to have a look at going private

Juno231 · 11/03/2021 15:44

@Ez87 sorry to hear about your CP. One thing I would say is that your chart shows a lovely temp shift and I wouldn't think you've got low temps. I would however have thought that you actually may have ovulated at what your chart is calling 2 DPO, which would explain why you think it looks like a slow rise.

Ez87 · 11/03/2021 19:05

Sorry about your CPs @ChinChilly. I know they are common and I’d read about them reading in here but I still couldn’t believe it happened. I worry about everything being wrong, you read so much stuff online! I hope your GP is more helpful re the TSH, there does seem to be a lot online about it being under 2.5, maybe a different GP will be more helpful!
Thanks for your comment @Juno231 re the temps, again kept reading online that if LP temps are lower than 36.6 MC is more likely, mine just seen to hover around there.
I think I should maybe just stop reading stuff online and try not to stress for a few more months. I also think I ovulated day 17 due to CM drying up.

@Ez87 I've always read that the key is that you have a decent temp rise compared to the FP - with 0.4 minimum rise. Your LP temps are rather low so I wouldn't expect them to soar to crazy amounts 🤷‍♀️

Do you have FF premium? If you look at the "charts like mine" function you'd see that your temps would probably result in pregnancy 32% of the time - just like any other standard chart :)

Ez87 · 12/03/2021 13:07

Yes I do have premium, I spend a lot of time obsessively analysing my chart! 😂 thanks @Juno231 x

Hello @Ez87 so sorry to jump on this post after so long, but I'm in the exact same position as you!

My BBT chart looks pretty much the same and my TSH was measured at 2.7.

Did you ever get any further with anything with your GP? Did you successfully conceive?

TIA! X

Ez87 · 21/03/2024 08:47

Hello, @rosecbrm . Yes I did conceive in the June that year after a few more cycles then pregnancy was absolutely fine and just celebrated my little girls 2nd birthday! I think I was maybe just being very anxious as it turned out fine in the end so hopefully that will be the same for you. The unknown makes it so hard. I found ttc a very stressful process. We’ve just started ttc for no. 2 and I can feel the anxiety creeping in. My cycles have become longer and ovulation later and not sure how it’s going to go.
Good luck!! 😊

@Ez87 that's absolutely brilliant, so chuffed that it all worked out ok for you! How long were you TTC in total for your first if you don't mind me asking?

I feel you with how stressful it is!I have been TTC for 5 months (which is not long at all I know, but feels it!), with one early miscarriage at the start but haven't been able to conceive since!
Have got a progesterone blood test check today as they suspect my levels are low due to spotting before periods etc.

Ahh, I wish you all the best with the journey for your second! ✨ xx

Ez87 · 21/03/2024 11:36

It took 8 cycles in the end with one CP after 4 months.
Huge good luck. 5 months isn’t long but at the time feels so long! That’s good your GP is doing tests for you just in case there is anything they can help with or if everything is ok you have that peace of mind.
