First official cycle trying after late loss in November.

I actually ovulated (well, I got a blazing positive OPK anyway) which is an achievement in itself as I don't ovulate.

I've been temping too but that went tits up after a few bad nights of interupted sleep so I'm none the wiser there.

I've got another half stone to lose and I'm already planning my period menu and buying multiples of IC tests.

Any takers for thread buddies?

Congratulations on TTC again, I can’t imagine your November loss.
I’ve always really struggled to remember to temp!

I’ve been tracking my cycles since October and TTC since November and am currently trying for our first.

Suffered mc in June 2019 and took 10 months to conceive that time so am trying my best not to go stir crazy but am not succeeding!
4DPO and have been having some cramping but think that’s just because I’m looking out for every little sign.Smile

Hiya Green welcome! I'm so sorry about your MC, that is so shit, and disheartening Flowers

I've got an older DS who is 4. DS2 was due in March but arrived at 21+4. He was incredibly poorly and lived for an hour and a half, we just feel so fortunate to have met him.

Have you been taking any supplements?

I've been trying to notice things about my body in the first half of my cycle so that I don't assume all things are symptoms Grin

Joining in here as I am 2 DPO (first cycle first baby so all new to me, first TWW!)

So sorry to hear about your MC @GreenLemons and @AlexaPlayWhiteNoise I am so sorry, I can't imagine. So glad you got to meet him.Flowers Fingers crossed for your BFPs this month or soon!

Lol @AlexaPlayWhiteNoise a 'period menu' is a very good idea - I will be a teeny bit disappointed (just from the novelty/excitement of first month rather than because I actually expect it to have worked this month) but I can totally get on board with a menu of my fave food and wine if AF arrives! I also have my eye on 2 houseplants that I have already decided I will buy if/when AF arrives as a mood boost.

Are any of you early testers?! I have got into temping, so think I will only test early if I'm getting positive signs on high temps - although who knows, I might find myself POAS from 8DPO despite intentions Grin

My DH genuinely just asked whether we'd know by the weekend, despite knowing I ovulated 2 days ago - I love his excitement but need to educate him a little! Grin

GreenLemons · 27/01/2021 19:15

@AlexaPlayWhiteNoise very sorry for your loss although lovely to meet him.
I am indeed taking the pregnacare supplements at the moment. From what I’ve heard they’re okay but I’m very open to recommendations!

@Aubyone I’m very much an early tester, I have no patience what so ever when I’m excited! If you’re getting high temps then there’s no harm.

And yes he might need a bit of education!! I’m liking the enthusiasm thoughGrin

AlexaPlayWhiteNoise · 27/01/2021 20:26

I'm going to be an early tester, I like the one step cheapies from Amazon. With a treat of a FRER near the end Grin

I'm a bit of a vitamin fiend at the moment. I'm on a mega prescription dose of folic acid, and then b6 and b12. CoQ10, vitamin E and omega 3 for egg quality. And I'm finishing up the last of my pregnacare ones from when I was pregnant. They're basically a multivitamin anyway so it seemed daft to my use them. I basically bought everything I thought might help (it was probably a response to not being able to control anything but now they need using up Grin )

Well done on your first cycle ttc anyone ! I remember it feeling so weird the first cycle, it's so at odds with everything I'd spent my life trying to avoid Grin

@AlexaPlayWhiteNoise I really need to up my vitamin game then!

Also, is anyone else just desperate to test yet? I know it’s too early but not knowing is too much. Do you guys know when you’re going to test?

Aubyone · 01/02/2021 14:14

@GreenLemons I tested this morning Blush Grin event though only 7DPO as I had a loaaad of cheapies and just really felt like it. Obviously negative. I've decided to just POAS every morning now until AF does/doesn't come. I know thats ridiculous, but makes me feel calmer so gotta do what ya gotta do Grin.

(Most people I imagine are more sensible and will wait til at least 10DPO but I'm just not that person)

GreenLemons · 01/02/2021 15:42

Ha! I actually tested yesterday at 7DPO, bfn obviouslyShock
I gave up pretending I didn’t want to test again and went to the shop just now to see get one but couldn’t fine any.
No real symptoms as really early but had sore boobs for the last day or so.Grin
I think testing every morning is a really good idea, I might do something similar to you on that one to prevent my general craziness.
Do you think you have experienced any symptoms this month?

Aubyone · 01/02/2021 17:57

@GreenLemons I can't really say I've noticed any partic symptoms - as this is only my second 'real' cycle after 8 years on the pill, I think a couple of lil things I've noticed are just completely normal cycle stuff that I just forgot happens (like sore boobs!)

Well good luck and let us know how you're getting on later in the week!
