Got my bfp this morning at 14dpo after 18 months ttc.

We were about to start IVF!

So shocked and elated. It's been a hard road but it's all worth it now.

Don't give up!

@summerhillgang congratulations that’s amazing news 🎉. You give me some hope. We’ve been trying almost 2yrs now. I’ve just started clomid this cycle so I’m really hoping it will happen for us soon 🤞

Thanks ladies. It's an amazing feeling and worth waiting for. We were totally ready for IVF as I am 38.

The main thing that happened is that I got an elevated TSH test back a couple of months ago, it was 3.7, so the ivf clinic wrote me a letter to give to my doctor to prescribe me Levothyroxine. So been on that for 6 weeks and my levels are right now to 0.6.

I also took 75mg of aspirin before bed this month. I also did castor oil packs between last day of period and ovulation.

Other than that I have just been following a healthy diet and exercising and cut out alc, dairy and gluten, reduced caffeine and red meat. I cut out a few things that I was intolerant of (did the Yorke test) and took a good probiotic and glutamine in the morning for gut health as diagnosed with 'leaky gut' (which prob caused the thyroid issue for me). Digestion really improved. I was quite overweight so have lost about 2.5st over 4 months. Tbh it's prob that is the biggest factor, getting body ready to carry a baby!

I took Messima and Cordyceps mushrooms 3 times a day too for last 3 months as I was worried about auto-immune stuff and this is supposed to calm the body down and reduce NK cells. Because my thyroid reading was higher it seemed like a possibility, and I couldn't afford all the tests so just went for it.

Increased Ubiquinol to 600mg and followed the plan in it Starts With An Egg over last few months and DH started taking Proceive Max Men sachets.

I did a few other things that are listed in this blog that prob didn't make any difference but felt good to do www.prosperitykitchen.co.uk/main-posts/the-top-10-things-i-did-to-get-pregnant-naturally-at-41/

I actually drank quite a bit at Xmas and ate what I wanted and had fun at Xmas and just had a break from work. So I think that helped too.

Oh and I think I may have conceive by turkey basting too!! We did it twice before ovulation and the day of we were both too tired so we did that instead. Something to tell the grandkids eh!

Thanks for sharing your tips, I’m going back to the clinic for first IVF app next month so I’ll be getting bloods done then. I have had everything checked before but that was over a year ago now. Lovely happy news for you 🥰 xx
