This is our first time TTC and I am about 6 days away from AF. This morning I went to the loo and sorry tmi, but I had cervical mucus, but it was stretchy and quite thick. I don't even get this much CM around ovulation let alone at all. Can someone tell me what could be going on?? 🤔

If you can stretch it more than 2 inches it's likely to be fertile. Fertile cm isn't thick though. Are you sure you're expecting af soon? Did you temp or do ovulation sticks?

Normally you'd have egg white cervical mucus before ovulation. HOWEVER it is super common to have one day of secondary oestrogen surge in the middle of your luteal phase - oestrogen causes ewcm so this can be why you're having one odd day of it now.

If AF ends up being "late" though it's because you're ovulating now actually, so it might be worth jumping on OH just in case you got ovulation wrong.

Well guys I did an OPK and its negative.

I have been tracking using OPKS and I had my peak on the 10th( I have a 46 day cycle)

However on Saturday I started taking pregnant for conception.....just realised this could be why?? I've also been having some weird twinges in my lower abdomen this evening.

Last week I experienced implantation symptoms so I really don't know whats going on with me 🤣🤣

Inthink you can get a small surge of cm just prior to af arriving so it's probably just this x

@sarahc336 okay thank you for the response. This spotting has been confusing me and now this cm..... I actually hope that is what it is so that I can start a new month to see if this pregnacare works 🥰🥰

The first half of my message is what @sarahc336 said 😅. Secondary oestrogen surges causing ewcm halfway through your luteal phase :)

@Juno231 haha okay fab. Thank you for letting me know. The human body is amazing!! There's so much to learn!!

@Juno231 sorry to jump on but do you know if you only get the 2nd surge when not pregnant? I normally always get EWCM a second time about a week into tww but haven't had it this time (or any cm at all actually!) so hoping that's a sign but can't see anything online about it? X

swiftt8919 · 27/01/2021 02:35

@peach1234 the month I got my bfp I had absolutely no cm whatsoever. Fingers crossed for you!

peach1234 · 27/01/2021 06:56

@swiftt8919 that's what I've been like so far and I'm 8dpo and never like this normally, thank you!!
