TTC & antidepressants.

Hi there.

Just curious, has anyone managed to conceive whilst their partners have been taking antidepressants? My partner has been on citalopram 20mg for about a year now. I’ve recently seen a few articles online suggesting they can affect sperm quality quite a lot. Now I’m wondering if this could be a reason we’ve not had any luck yet.....

So if you’ve managed to convince whilst you’re partner (not you) has been on antidepressants I’d love to hear from you. Also if you’re in the same boat as me and this could potentially be a reason for you too...

Hi lovely. My husband is on 20mg too and I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant. It took us a few months of trying but I also have PCOS. I honestly think it's a tiny difference and shouldn't make much of a difference if you're both otherwise healthy. Good luck with the journey

I’ve literally been worrying myself sick thinking this could be why it’s not happening for us and convincing myself it’s never gonna happen whilst he’s on them. I feel much better now I know it’s possible. Was he on them for a long time when you got pregnant? Xx
