Faint positives 4 weeks 6 days

Hi can anyone help? I’m worrying myself silly! I took 2 tests on Friday, 1 very faint positive and 1-2 pregnant on a clear blue. I took another today and it’s still faint. Is this bad? I’m stressing something is wrong

Are you using IC tests? It takes a while for those to really get dark

@Daniejac42 4 weeks is still early I wouldn't worry over it i didn't get solid dark lines till 5-6 weeks. My friend even got a really faint line at 8 weeks pregnant after a previously dark line early on but she's now 20+ weeks with a little boy I think it all depends on your wee concentration etc

It’s the one step ones I’ve been using and with my first wee of the day

@GeeHO98 although your friends test is due to the hook effect and not because she actually had low hcg.

@Daniejac42 please test again tomorrow to be sure, but I'd say if tomorrow's test has had no progression from Friday then it's unfortunately likely to a chemical pregnancy. Otherwise hcg is meant to double every two days really. I'm crossing my fingers that it isn't the case xx

@Juno231 it wasn't the hook effect it was still a positive test result just a lot fainter then you would've thought she had a bold positive again after

Hi OP, I was also using one step tests which didn't seem to get any darker, I am now 5+5 and for peace of mind I took a first response test yesterday, I'll attach a photo but you can see it was a dye stealer! I don't think those one steps are very good in my opinion xxx

@daniejac42 aww I'm pleased! I was the same as you a week ago panicking because they're so faint! I've since had a 1-2 and 2-3 on the clearblue weeks indicator tests and confirmed by the doctor 😊 I know it's hard but try not to worry, and maybe try a different brand test. I definitely recommend the first response tests xxx

@Praying4aRainbow thank you, I will definitely try another brand. I’m having trouble getting in to see a doctor, they referred me straight to the midwife. I was hoping the doctor would confirm first. I’ll relax a little now and just pray everything goes ok. 😊 xxx

I didn't go in to see a Dr I just dropped a urine sample off as they wanted to confirm it with one of their own tests but each gp might be different, and I see the midwife in 4 weeks time 😊 Congratulations to you too xxx

Update** started getting strange pains in my groin area on Sunday, doctor said could still be bedding in but CB test was still showing 1-2 weeks and cheapie asda test very faint again and to top it off I’m not wiping pink and feeling like AF is about to arrive 😔 I’m keeping everything crossed but I’m not feeling very hopeful. X

When did you last get 1-2 in a clearblue? Mine took 1 week to change to 2-3, maybe give early pregnancy unit a call at the hospital and see if they can give you a scan maybe? Xxx

That all sounds very normal for early pregnancy. Cramps are your uterus stretching to make room for baby and pink is usually implantation bleeding. Pink/brown is fine, bright red is not.

Give it a few more days and I'm sure you'll get 2-3 on clear blue xx

It was still showing 1-2 weeks 10 days after the first one I took. I’m waiting on EPU ringing with an appointment for me to go down. I’ve god a bad feeling but trying to stay hopeful x
