Ovulation due 27th January / Period due 10th February

So it's our first month ttc, however it's been in the pipeline for a year or so with me coming off the pill etc.

I generally have 30 day cycles and have been using my tracker app to track this which has been really reliable although I know it's not guaranteed. I am due to ovulate on the 27th January and due on my period on the 10th February.

I know the fertile window is 5 days before. Would you do it every day? Twice a day? Every other day?

SO excited to start testing in the next few weeks

I half tried for about a year with my first, no OPKs or tracking etc just not preventing it, if that makes sense. I only had 2 periods that entire year so there was a lot of false hope, I got seen and found to have mild PCOS which was causing the irregular periods. I did some research and started properly trying, using the natural cycles app, temping and using OPKs to try and understand my cycle, and within 3 weeks I was pregnant! I'm still not sure if it was a fluke, but I've gone straight in with natural cycles and OPKS this time and am hoping it works that well again

@cooper96 There were 7 in the pack 🤣 yeah I'll defo be purchasing them if not successful this time my app predicts the 27th too but the 26th on another app🤦‍♀️ literally just planning on having sex every day and keeping everything crossed (besides the legs 🤣)

@EllisRoses is natural cycles a free app? Might have a look at that. Been searching the house for my bloody thermometer but it seems to have vanished. Another Amazon purchase pending! Hopefully your methods work again for baby #2! X

It isn't, it's £39 I think for a year including a thermometer. There are free apps but I just didn't find them as good or user friendly and it worked so well last time I don't mind paying again. It was such a waste of money only needing it for 3 weeks but I've never been so happy to waste money and I hope I've wasted it again this time 😂

Trying to post this for the third time so if you get it 3 times apologies! I gave in and bought some ovulation test. Did the first one this morning around 10am. The test line is obviously lighter than the control line but still quite dark. I'm going to test over the next few days as unsure if I have already ovulated and this it it getting lighter? Or whether I've not ovulated yet and it's going to get darker. Only time will tell I guess! Xx

@cooper96 hahaha I thought you might! You have in like me 🤣🤣 what CD are you on again? Yeah defo keep testing maybe do another one at like 2/3pm. They say to try and hold your urine for as long as possible I think rather than drinking water and going as it can dilute the levels etc I literally only got one positive result which was my first test. Since then nothing! Pretty sure ovulation has been and gone for me now. Now it's the two week wait 😫😫😫😫

@EllisRoses oh I need a new thermometer so I might actually get that! I'll wait after this cycle and then see. I don't know why I keep gearing myself for it to work first time. Wishful thinking I guess 🤣

I hope you don’t mind me jumping on the post I have similar dates. First month ttc, ovulated yesterday I’m guessing since I got my peak on Monday morning. I’m using easy home ovulation strips and pre mom app to track. My cycle is usually 31 days so af due 11th feb. Hope yous are all ok?

@SL566 welcome! Good to have others on a similar cycle! I got my peak Monday morning too! Then nothing on the tests after that?! I think ovulation was Monday night/ tues but who knows. Predicted AF on 11th but my cycles vary between 26-27 days. Now it's the dreaded TWW😫 xx

Thankyou! Yes same here actually as I was cramping Monday evening. Mine can vary sometimes too, October’s was 37 days so not sure what happened there 🤦🏼‍♀️ Ahh I know! Seems ages off! Last year I was trying to avoid ovulation to not get pregnant, oh how times change haha. Fingers crossed it doesn’t take us all too long anyway 🤞🏻X

I'm due to come on the 11th February but I generally have 31 day cycles which I think must be why my app is predicting ovulation today/ later in the week as opposed to you guys who have ovulated already this week. Xx

Just seen that you’ve got ovulation test strips now so you’ll find it easier to pinpoint. The apps were all wrongly estimating that I ovulate around day 17/18, so I’m glad I bought some x

@cooper96 I actually have no idea when I ovulated now because I've read so much different stuff on google! I've given up DTD now for this cycle! Just hoping we've done enough to be in with some chance. It's exhausting this baby making malarkey! Did you test again, anything positive yet? X

Yeah I tested twice yesterday and just now but the test line isn't getting any darker... I'm going to do one again tomorrow and if it's not darker assume I've ovulated already this cycle as it will be CD19 then. Then sit tight for 2 weeks 🤣

I agree with you that it's tiring! I don't think I could DTD again tonight if I tried! Xx

@cooper96 it's so hard isn't it! I'm pretty sure that this won't be my month this month. Maybe I'm telling myself that to protect myself! Think I'm 3DPO possibly 4? Given up DTD now!

@roxybear I know I told myself I wouldn't become fixated on it, but here we are 🤣 when do you plan to start testing or are you going to be patient and see if AF arrives first? X

@cooper96 same! I've actually surprised myself at how incredibly inpatient and obsessive I've become. Every bloody twinge or feeling I'm like ohhhh could be?!🤣 I haven't bought any preg tests yet as I know I'd prob be testing today if I did🤣 I've told myself I will wait until I'm late and really going to try and hold out until the 12th feb so I won't order any until 9th to deliver in time. I can firmly say this prob won't happen though 🤣🤣🤣 how about you? X

Can I hop on? Think today is O day for me, AF due 9th Feb. I’m using cheapie ov sticks - haven’t had a definite positive but the line was pretty dark yesterday and is lighter today so I think I just missed my peak. I have an almost 1 year old, really hoping for a small gap for #2 though it took me years to conceive the first one so not expecting it to happen straight away. Doing everything I can though!

@ronniemipperton hey! Welcome!! My tests were the same. Bought them on Monday had one positive and the rest negative so hoping it's was Monday or Tuesday! You can join on the dreaded TWW with us! Xx

Of course more the merrier! It's nice to have people around the same dates so we can all be excited / disappointed at the same time 🤣 I've not bought any pregnancy test yet in the hope that I'll be patient enough to see if I am late but lorddd knows that's not going to happen and I will definitely be peeing on sticks daily ! It’s hard not to become fixated 🤣 I have tests in as some came with my ovulation strips, only cheap ones though. I would say I’m going to wait to see if AF arrives first but it’s so hard, especially when you see people getting positives at 9/10 dpo! But like you guys have said, doubt it will happen on the first month

How's everyone doing? My temp has continued to rise and I can't stop comparing it to my last cycle tracking which is when I fell pregnant. So far it's following the same track and I have to keep reminding myself all it's confirmed is ovulation not pregnancy. I'm getting so ahead of myself
