@Firevie & @PumpkinEverything I was just wondering, what do you go to your GP for once you have a BFP? I've never been to a GP for any of my pregnancies. So I'm just curious.

@SLCxxx feeling exactly the same - try and hold out - distracting myself with a long dog walk in the snow to stop me testing!!

@Pancakes7 tbf I only went for my 12w scan for my first pregnancy which sadly ended. I then went private for my surgery last year and my doc was amazing so he said to come back once I was pregnant again, so I’m going to see him directly.

Yeah it’s a bit confusing @Pancakes7 last time I had to ring them to be referred to the midwife. I then went down to see her when I was like 6/7 weeks and she referred me to the hospital for my 12 week scan, but didn’t get much further than that unfortunately. I think some people are able to self refer but I don’t think I can do that and need to ring!

@Firevie ah ok that makes sense then. I think an NHS GP wouldn't be able to do anything for me. I had private scans for both my pregnancy with my son and the mmc. They only do scans though. I'll definitely have an early scan again next time I'm pregnant.

@PumpkinEverything Oh right ok. Thanks for replying. My first 2 times I phoned GP surgery who booked me in to see midwife. The recent mmc I had to book online. It's all changed.

Hey! Just scrolling through and feel like I need a bit of advice as didn't realise so many people are in this position :( Just wanted abit of girlie advice - had a MC last month (1st one ever) never fell pregnant before but been with DH 8years actively trying 1+ year, found out beginning of jan after taking a Femometer test I was pregnant but after going to the doctors the next day and there’s came back negative I then found out I was having a Mc which happened that day, this was 12/01/21 bleeding started 12/01 and ended 17/01 - ovulated 29/30 jan and now AF Due today but no sign... took a Femometer strip test yesterday and received a clear 1 line BFN ... same urine used another strip within 5 minutes (inpatient) and have 2 lines BFP ! Woke up this morning and tried a strip nothing again .. tried another as you get 25! And there’s 2 lines so used a FRER and only 1 line .. I’m so confused helpppp!

That’s what’s just happened when ive rang today @Pancakes7 spoke to the receptionist and she’s made me a telephone appointment with the midwife for two weeks from now when I should be 7 weeks. I’ve booked a private early scan for the day before so probably good timing. Feels like forever to wait just to confirm I’m not imagining this whole thing!

That’s really confusing @Chick123xx sorry it’s a mess for you! Which brands are you using, do you have photos of the tests?

@Chick123xx sorry for your loss and welcome to the group. I’m sorry I really don’t have much experience with pregnancy tests as with previous pregnancies I had just used Tesco or boots brands as I was late. This is my first month of actively TTC so have bought the FRER as others in the group have highly recommended. If it were me I would probably pop out and get another brand of test?

So I randomly suddenly decided to test after all the BFP's. I know it's early but I got a faint line!!

Hey, thank you girls! So I ordered the femometer strips offline and then ordered the FRER after getting a positive, trying to upload image but not allowing me to :(
It's so confusing as I wee in the pot and test with the strip and nothing straight up negative .. don't know why but through they will try one more strip and shows a very clear positive .. I worry the strips are misleading and not giving correct results ... same thing this morning... first strip 1 line.. tested in same urine within 2 mins and positive ??
The FRER worry's me as so many people rely on it over the strips :/ and this deffo was negative, today would be 10dpo I know you have to be patient and I'm really trying but it's so hard when you get mixed results :( anyone else had this with femometer ? Xxx

So I have just been on the phone with my insurance and the hospital and have gotten myself booked in for this Thursday...eek
@Chick123xx very sorry you find yourself here. I am not v good with line reading so I usually go with clear blue as they’re quite clear and show you whether you’re pregnant or not. I haven’t used the digital clear blue tests. I would get a clear blue one and test again tomorrow or so xxx

@Pancakes7 I can see the line too 👍🏻 How many DPO are you? And are they the early strips or just the normal 20 sensitivity if you don’t mind me asking?

I ovulated on day 19 which after using the ovulation test I realised I actually ovulate day 18/19 not 14 which i thought!! So as it's quite late in my cycle hoping just going to take a bit longer to show :/ xx

@SLCxxx They are the early detection I think... I'll attach a link. Basically I missed my peak as I forgot to take a test one morning. I've therefore estimated my ovulation. So if I've estimated correctly I'm 8DPO. I'm sending my DH to get the 6 days early clear blue test pack (you get 3 in it) I'll take one tomorrow morning with my first urine 🤞🏻
