@gizmo167 that's what I'm wondering as I've been googling it I'm wondering if I have PCOS. This is my longest cycle I've ever had. Generally my period used to be at a regular time until they started getting two days later each month. I have really short periods too, they only last about three days. I haven't done temping either

gizmo167 · 04/02/2021 10:42

@PrettyPinkPansies I have absolutely no idea hun! CD30 I got the very faint IC positive, I only tested because I had a strange bleed on CD26 which was only once and was gone, I thought it was a very very early AF starting but it never came to anything, when I didnt have AF by CD30 I started to wonder!

@Pancakes7 chances are if your periods have been regular before the MC then its just your body settling down. I was starting to convince myself that I may be peri-menopausal because my cycles had gone to about 27/28 days for a time, google is really the devil lol!

SLCxxx · 04/02/2021 10:42

@Pancakes7 do you test in the early evening too? I read reviews that flashing smiley continues until you get a static face regardless of LH levels. I got my peak in the evening, just saying incase you didn’t know. Good luck 😌

SLCxxx · 04/02/2021 10:47

@Alabh sorry for your loss and welcome to the group. Wishing you luck in this cycle

Pancakes7 · 04/02/2021 11:00

@SLCxxx Thanks. The fertility monitor is where you test each day and insert the test into the monitor. It then reads low, high or peak. You have a testing window of 6 hours. Mine is been 5am and 11am. I think I'll try and stop panicking and just see how I go.

SLCxxx · 04/02/2021 11:13

@Pancakes7 oh okay, sorry I thought it was the other one. I’ve just googled the monitor, looks brilliant. Do you find it’s worth the money if you don’t mind me asking? Thinking about buying one if This month is unsuccessful

Pancakes7 · 04/02/2021 11:46

@SLCxxx I bought it after a friend recommended it. I do think it's good as there's no doubt if you're ovulating or not and when. Also it can test for pregnancy. It's not cheap though but I think it's worth the money. It makes me feel like I'm doing something at least.

Marvellouslymadmum · 04/02/2021 11:55

I've been researching the monitor and cb advance digital and decided to go with the latter for the following reasons - the advance digi do the same thing, give you a nothing high or peak and they're £25 for 25 tests and this is for the connected ones the result goes straight to an app too. And with the monitor as well as the initial outlay I could only find the tests that go in it for around £30 too. Though I do believe it would be a little more accurate

bez91 · 04/02/2021 12:08

Hi ladies, hope you're all well. Was taking a break from the thread until AF is over but have a random TMI question...

Anyone's periods changed post MC? I'm on period 2 post the last MC in December and my periods are horrendously heavy compared to previous ones. I have been having pomegranate juice since start of the year to help the old womb out so wonder if there is any truth in it actually working and that's why the heavy periods 😂

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/02/2021 13:12

Yeap @bez91 - mine was weird and light. Like 2 days light bleeding and about 5 days of spotting only . I read that after MC the first period in particular is usually oddly light or oddly heavy.

dippyegg32 · 04/02/2021 13:20

@bez91 mine was crazy light but exceptionally painful. All oddities are ironically normal for first period after mc.

bez91 · 04/02/2021 13:33

Thanks both @dippyegg32 and @TheDaydreamBelievers this is period #2 though. Period #1 was a beast 😂 and this one isn't far behind being on par!

@TheDaydreamBelievers how are you doing? Where are you up to in your cycle? 😊

elsimo · 04/02/2021 14:18

@bez91 I have had 2 periods and both mine have been heavier xx

Strawberry08 · 04/02/2021 14:39

@bez91 mine were much heavier for 2-3 months after each time I have miscarried. Think lots of people have found the same. Hopefully will settle down next cycle. Hope that helps!

PrettyPinkPansies · 04/02/2021 16:56

Okay so I've asked hubby to go out and get another pack of CB Early Detection as these were the ones I had the faint line on. Do you think I'd be okay to take one tomorrow at 10DPO?

Florence15 · 04/02/2021 16:57

Hi everyone! Does anyone know anyone who has tried clomid? Worked or not worked?

Pancakes7 · 04/02/2021 17:17

@Florence15 My mother took Clomid to have my brother as she wasn't ovulating. This was in the 80's. It kick started here ovulation and get first egg she got pregnant with my brother. She had me without it on her first ovulation after stopping breastfeeding. Coincidentally my brothers wife was also conceived with the help of clomid. I know it's not recent but thought it was with sharing.

Strawberry08 · 04/02/2021 17:26

@PrettyPinkPansies yes take one first wee of the day on the same clear blue you used before and see Smile fingers crossed x

ELMcg · 04/02/2021 17:28

So random question, anyone started getting headaches in their cycle post MC? I'm currently CD13 in high category just waiting for my peak any day now and the headaches the last few days have been horrendous! I've never had them before and seem to get worse afternoon and evening which is not ideal for being in the mood to DTD!

Pancakes7 · 04/02/2021 17:32

@PrettyPinkPansies I've just remembered that I did forget to test on CD13, so reading up, it is possible that I missed my peak and it was on day 13. I think I'll keep testing for the next few days and see. I kind of hope that's the case. If it is been we dtd that day and every other day around it 🤞🏻

Are you going to stop testing now and wait for AF? I hope you can know either way soon.

Florence15 · 04/02/2021 17:32

@Pancakes7 it’s interesting isn’t it. I wouldn’t but I know you can buy it online can’t you although they say you shouldn’t as you need medical monitoring whilst on it. It’s a slow process isn’t it as you have to be referred first then tested to be prescribed it. I’d be interested to know if anyone has ever just bought it without prescription 🤔

PrettyPinkPansies · 04/02/2021 17:32

@Strawberry08 thank you, I really hope so. The box says tomorrow is the first day it can be used so fingers crossed I'm just too early up to now 🤞🏼x

Florence15 · 04/02/2021 17:35

@ELMcg hi! I had awful headaches after my mc in Dec then most of the following month. They got awful again around the time my af was due (4 weeks after my mc) I put it down to my hormones readjusting and after my first af they went away!! However I quit caffeine straight after my mc too so that may have added to it

PrettyPinkPansies · 04/02/2021 17:41

@Pancakes7 it's very possible you missed it then! Deffo keep going if you can afford to.

I'd love to say I was going to stop testing but I just can't, even though it's costing me a fortune. I'm going to try another clear blue ultra early (same ones I thought I saw something on) tomorrow at 10DPO. The box says this is the easiest you can use these (5 days before AF due) x

ELMcg · 04/02/2021 17:42

@Florence15 thanks for letting me know it's not just me! yes I hear its common after MC but I have had my first AF so thought it was a bit weird to have it now! Hopefully it's just due to high hormones or something. Currently holding in my wee to do my second OPK of the day so maybe that will show a peak!

I have a feeling its hormonal as I don't drink much caffeine at all and I drink sooo much water. Its just pretty awful!
