7dpo - just started spotting ☹️

Hi ladies

I am 7dpo today and this morning I wiped a brown mucus. I checked with my fingers (sorry tmi) and found I had a couple of black clots.

Last night I felt a dull pin prick kind of pain, not painful, but was hopefully it could be implantation.
OH was hopeful too!

So I guess this is the aftermath of that pain. I do usually spot pre AF, anywhere from 7 days before to 1 day. There is never any pattern but I don’t believe I’ve had black clots before.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there still hope of a bfp?

Clots normally mean period, implantation bleeding would be very light pink or brown spotting. I always get spotting the day before af. Unfortunately I think it means your af is on the way ☹️

Hey @cat8986 I obviously don’t want to get your hopes up but I had quite a lot of spotting on dpo 5-7. Day 5 was the heaviest.
I noticed what looked like small clots too on days 6&7 and so assumed it was just normal spotting, not implantation (although I very rarely have mid cycle spotting, so I would say it was out of the ordinary for me) and especially after searching it. It could just be CM mixed in with the spotting?

I had a faint but definitely there positive FRER this morning. So fingers crossed for you too.

How is your line progressing? Did you have anymore spotting?

I’m 9dpo today and the brown discharge has continued, but a lot less. Only when I wipe. I also feel like I’m on my period. You know the achy heavy feeling, with a sickness feeling deep in my tummy. Completely over emotional too, already had a good cry on DP’s shoulder for know reason.

These feelings are not usual for me, even when I’ve spotted before. Wondered if anyone else had had this? My period is due on 14dpo.

I have had 3 faint but positive tests now, two different brands so I’m fairly sure I’m pregnant. AF would have been due today/tomorrow.
It is such an emotional time anyway, but yes that’s what happened with my spotting too. It was still there but barely a couple of days after it started. Only a few more (I imagine very long!) days ahead of you before it’ll be worth taking an early test, if that’s what you’re planning to do? The Boots own tests were crap, but First Response were fab.
I had a couple of days of bad headaches and my boobs definitely swelled up too, but of course it’s different for everyone. Really hoping you come back with some good news soon x

Congratulations! Fantastic news you know for sure now.
I’ll likely hold out until AF is due/late. I’m quite patient and wouldn’t want the disappointment of a bfn, when there’s still chance for a bfp.

Hope you don't mind me jumping in, I'm having the same thing or at least I've just had it. 6dpo and 7dpo I had pink then red then brown and the brown was quite textured if that makes sense with small clots. It's totally died down now with just brown tinted cm. period wasn't actually due til 2nd and this didn't seem like period at all. Was this in any way similar to what you had @ttcSam ? If so, how many dpo did you get your BFP?

Yes definitely @Fifi1086. It was quite like watery and red at the beginning but as it got less and darker there was a little clotting or ‘bits’.. do you normally spot? I probably spot once/twice a year and it was never like that which threw me, but I read online if it’s got any clots then it must be period related.. so was obviously trying not to get my hopes up. I had a faint FRER positive on CD25, which was 10/11 DPO (smiley on OPK on CD14), but I’m fairly sure it was either a VERY faint line or a negative the day before to this. Fingers crossed for you x

@ttcSam it's my first full month off the mini pill but I oftenovulated and got a period while on the pill, the periods were v light but totally diff to this. It's so weird. Gonna test on Friday or sat and if it's negative I'll put it down to a weird period but I def ovulated, late tho on cd22, which just being off the pill I guess isn't too bad! But that would mean period should not come this soon if I def ovulated
