Hi All,
Looking to try for baby number 2. The plan was always this Spring but now unsure due to the vaccine. They say to wait 2-3 months after having it to get pregnant. I’m probably last in the U.K. on the priority list so could potentially be waiting until December if I followed this advice and I would not be happy with that large age gap (that’s if I got pregnant straight away!)

What is everyone else’s thoughts on this? Will you wait for the vaccine?

Anyone? Confused

I'm personally not waiting for the vaccine.
I will be bottom of the list so probably by the time I've got pregnant and had the baby it might be my turn!

Advice has been recently updated to say you do not need to wait to try to conceive after having the vaccine.

Oh really?? That’s interesting thanks

If you look on the .gov website, under vaccine it explains. Same goes for the HFEA website too. We are also trying for our second (unsuccessfully) and haven't postponed or waited and I would either, but that's my personal stance on it. Good luck 🤞🏻

Wouldn't* 🙄

I had the vaccine mid December and am now pregnant. I'm not worried. The guidance has changed, here is a link if you'd like a read. www.rcog.org.uk/en/news/updated-advice-on-covid-19-vaccination-in-pregnancy-and-women-who-are-breastfeeding/

Thanks @LauEli will you still have the second dose?

@Sleepyquest I'm going to discuss it with my midwife, I have booking appointment on 1st march so will see what she says.
Knowing I've already had the first part gives me some protection so im happy either way
