Hi everyone
So it's been almost a year of trying and nothing. I called and booked a GP appointment this week and I am expecting a telephone appointment this afternoon. I feel unnecessarily nervous about this and don't know what to ask. Any advice on questions?

They will probably ask everything tbh
They will want to know how long TTC
Info re your cycle
Regularity of sex
Weight
Diet/lifestyle info re alcohol, smoking etc

They will possibly suggest bloods and say to await results before deciding where to go from there tbh. Don’t be nervous Flowers

Hey op it's ok to feel nervous I was too. I basically asked to have bloods for myself and for a referral to a fertility clinic. GP advised I also have an ultrasound and book a sperm analysis for husband so they could attach all the results in the actual referral. GP said this would reduce some of the tests for the consultant, good luck x

@Piapea dont be worried, I felt exactly the same as you! Spoke to the GP about my concerns as been off the pill for almost 3 years and no other precautions used but nothing so far. I was sent for a 21day progesterone blood test as well as other hormones (21 day bloods were repeated as low and were still low 2nd time around). I also had an abdominal and transvaginal scan which was fine.
DH had semen analysis which was also fine.

The phone call (both DH and I had calls seperately on different days), discussed how long we had been trying, how many times DTD during a cycle, lifestyle, underlying health problems etc.
It is all noted down and then the info and results are sent as a referral if needed.

The phone call wasnt awful at all.
Hope it goes well for you 😊
