8 months TTC age 37

Hi all, I'm now 8 months TTC. As I'm 37 I've been to the GP and had the blood tests which have both come back normal so I've been referred to a gynaecologist for the next batch of tests. My local hospital in Brighton can't give me any idea of how long the wait might be before my appointment comes through. I wondered if anyone on here had gone private for the next stage of examinations and how that effected their NHS referral? The lack of control is really getting me down at the moment, and I'm so stressed about my age! Every month that goes by I feel myself getting older and older!
Thanks in advance.

Relatable. I’m 37 too, we’re trying for our first. Is this your first? After the nhs (in London) messed me around a bit with test results in the summer I booked private tests this month which are happening next week. I just felt I didn’t have time to keep waiting for my referral (they haven’t even requested it yet because I need to redo a test in a couple of weeks) and would rather know what’s what now than in six months plus from now when I’ll be 38. It’s hard, feels like time is against you which is probably the most stressful factor for me, and the lack of control too. What tests have you had so far?

Thanks. It's nice to hear when a struggle ends well! Good luck with your journey.
