Anyone know how long after hcg injections you need to wait before doing a pg test without getting a false positive?

I had my final injection last wednesday. Stupidly did a test today that came up with a very faint line. I'm convinced this is down to the hcg injection as I've been cramping for 3 days. Please can anyone with knowledge of hcg help?

Just left a message for you on the lap and dye thread anniemac. 13 days past ov today. I've since read that you shouldn't test until 8/9 days after your last hcg injection so I'm going to ignore the faint bfp from earlier. I'm just hoping af stays away and also that I can resist doing any more tests before the end of the week
Have you been to see a consultant yet or are you going to keep with the accupuncture? Good luck!

Well, I had more spotting yesterday pm and so I'm expecting af to arrive today. it's a bit of a worry because they tracked my egg this month so we know when I def ov'd and my temp didn't go up until 3 days later. If that's been happening every month then maybe I don't have a short lp...who knows.
The only good thing to happen is that my dh's company changed health companies last month and they will pay for all costs for investigations into infertility up until diagnosis. I think as the consultant has said from the start he thinks I ought to have my tubes looked at because of having a c-section I'm just going to go for it, now that we don't have to pay the 3k it costs!
Lots of luck and I'll let you know what happens even though I'm sure af is on her evil way.
