So, recently I’ve been diagnosed with pcos and I have irregular periods.
My boyfriend and I just started to try for a baby, and my gynecologist put me on clomid to start when my next cycle is due. (It should be around the 16th, so it’s a bit late now.)
- however, a negative pregnancy test so far.
But last time we had intercourse, about mid-cycle, we had to stop, because I was suddenly bleeding. The bleeding got quite strong a few days after, and lasted for whole 2 weeks! It’s important to say though, that I’ve had blood work, 2 screenings and biopsies done just 8-9 days ago, and everything is normal. Except for the pcos.
My gynecologist say, that the bleeding is highly likely caused by pcos.
But it makes it so confusing for me now, as I was just about to start clomid on my next cycle..then this bleeding happened out of nowhere..!
So now I’ll have to wait to start “my real” period before I can take clomid. I’m kinda scared to be “intimate” with my boyfriend, in case it will provoke another bleeding..
Has anyone been in this kind of situation before? And do you know if it’s possible to start clomid without waiting for a period?
I have been searching a lot for this topic on the internet, as it’s very frustrating.
