OK so I've caved and already bought OPK strips. When do I start testing? I'm on CD3 now started my first AF on Monday after stopped pill in dec had withdrawal bleed in Dec too. So how many days after my AF ends do I start DTD and testing or shall I try to DTD immediately every 2 days or so. Incase I ovulate early?? I just dont want to miss it by waiting for the norm with it being my 1st real cycle
Also do I just look for 2 lines to appear on the strips like a pregnancy test??

Hi,

If you can and if you have no idea when you would ovulate I would try to do one every day from CD 8/9/10 until you get an idea of where you are at. If you don't already - use an app to track. I use cheap ovulation tests and I think they work well.

Two lines appear on them like a pregnancy test but I think the line has to be dark like the control line.

Good luck to you and I hope this helps.

@lnr27 thank you for responding 🙏 ❤ I do have the flo app it says ov predicted 31st Jan but my fertile window is 5 days before and 4 days after?? But its an app 🤣🤣 it is guess work, and this is my 1st cycle. I'll try from CD9 then and I'll be DTD anyway ASAP coz I want to lol no harm haha... thank you xx

Definitely no harm! I think that's your best bet. I do find the cheap tests more reliable. I have been using a more expensive CB opk along side the cheapies and they both picked up the peak at the same time. However my CB digital picked up high fertility for 12 days before that so I don't really trust it.
Hopefully it won't come to it but the longer you are trying and logging your periods and ovulation in the app the more accurate it will get for you.

Fingers crossed it happens for you soon.

Yeah same. We've been trying for our first since we got married 2.5 years ago. I have PCOS so it's taking us a really long time.
If one more person says relax... 😂

TTCNO2PLEASE · 20/01/2021 22:51

I know what you mean. Everyone is pregnant right now! Including my sister who is 31 weeks. I'm happy for everyone I really am but I'm also jealous. It's a strange feeling!

I treat the apps with caution. I have always had a 28 day cycle. The apps would have been way out because i ovulate on day 9!
