Feel so down, AF arrived

... No surprise at all as I've been getting bfns but I'm still so down. I just don't think it's going to happen for us this time. This is no. 3, our last and month 4 of ttc. Our other two- one unplanned and the other took 2 months.

Now I'm worried I've left it too late. I'm 34 in March and DH is 43, terrified his swimmers are crap. I'm super regular with my periods and clearly ovulate, but it's not happening and I KNOW I'm being irrational as it can and does take months, but so worried this will be it.

I also have short cycles 25/26 days and also paranoid I'm perimenopausal because of this. Please someone talk me down, tell me some stories of hope. I've been off this board all this month in an attempt (failing) to not worry so much about ttc. Thanks all.

Your story is very similar to mine. I have 2 DC, the first unplanned, the second conceived 1st month. I also have short cycles - but down to 22-23 days since getting covid last March. My DH is mid 40s and I’m 6 years older than you. I just got my BFP on Sunday which was cycle 6. So I know how disheartening it can be, but CD1 is always the worst and your time will come if you keep trying.

@Aozora13 thank you so much for your comment, congratulations ☺️ it's just what I wanted to read. Also, hearing you had covid and still conceived also makes me less nervous about taking the vaccine (whenever that will be, I'll be near the back of the queue whatever!) as if covid doesn't impact on fertility then the vaccine shouldn't either!
