Extremely lonely in my TTC journey

Hi all,
I'm extremely lonely when is comes to discussing TTC as I haven't told anyone that myself and my partner are starting our TTC journey, and are very excited about it.

Me and my partner discuss everything regarding TTC, however it would be nice if I could find some fellow TTC friends to discuss symptoms, O dates etc as he looks at me with a bit of a blank face 😶 when I discuss with him, he try's to understand but if I'm honest I don't understand myself so I'm not very good at explaining

And more importantly to celebrate everyone's BFP's when they arrive 🤞🏼👶🏼

Baby dust to all x
@princesscallie You definitely don’t need to feel embarrassed! I think most of us are just kind of bumbling along, hoping we are getting it right along the way - I know I am! Smile

I’m only tracking ovulation with OPKs and half paying attention to CM (Don’t seem to have loads of it...probably TMI, sorry!). I use the Premom app and internet cheaply OPKs from Amazon which seems to work fairly well in the sense that it shows me when my peak occurs so I know when to DTD. Happy to attach a screenshot if you’d like as I’ve really not described this too well! Xx
Yeah I don't seem to have visible CM either really, it's a very hard thing to keep an eye on imo xx

@PippityChippity @DizSquiz

Okay ladies I am currently tracking nothing. Smile I would have a fairly good knowledge of my CM however due to not being on contraception for the last 2 years. So I can see the transition from creamy to egg White and back again! But other than that that's it! Can't buy from Amazon now as I live in Ireland!! Nothing cheap anymore! But will have a look at OPKs for next month as I'm just at the end of my fertile window this month!

MommaSB · 22/01/2021 04:04

Hi, can I join?
Trying for our second child for 2.5 years now.
Didn't help that I wasn't having periods /ovulating regularly (no help from doctors other than telling me to relax don't have stress in my life and lose weight) or at all but I actually ovulated last week!
Was so excited to see the surge I could have cried.
We dtd every fertile day and twice on peak (sorry if tmi)
I am currently on 6dpo symptom spotting like mad and lock down isn't helping I have no distractions.
Currently sitting on my hands to avoid testing till I have to. However I don't know when I would be due on because of not having any regularity. My app fermometer puts me at due af on 30th so we will see. Currently feeling nauseas (probably nerves) am off my food and today have felt weird twinges and some lower back ache.
Even if its bfn this time I'm just hoping my period will appear on time and I ovulate again next month.
Sending luck to you all x

Morning all!

@PippityChippity I’d appreciate a screenshot!
Going to order some OPKs today as my anxiety is telling me ‘you don’t even ovulate’ so I’d like to tell it to do one 😂

@princesscallie and @DizSquiz when you say you track CM, do you just have a look at your discharge? Sorry if that’s TMI!! Or is there any other way?

@MommaSB from what I’ve read on here it sounds like you’re bang on it! ☺️

Grateful for this group, seems like we are all in fairly similar stages.
Does anyone just want to do a flipping pregnancy test every day? 😅 x

PippityChippity · 22/01/2021 09:15

Morning all! Now 4DPO and CD17 so just waiting for the 2WW to pass. Work has been very busy so good for distraction purposes!

@PositiveParrot @princesscallie I’ve attached my Premom OPK sticks chart. Shows the progression from peak to decline and how suddenly peaks happen! For some reason, I ovulated 3 days earlier this month than last month. Not too worried as ovulation days do change. Hope this is helpful! Smile

Extremely lonely in my TTC journey
PippityChippity · 22/01/2021 09:16

Hope everyone else is good this morning? It’s Friday so that’s good in itself Grin xx

PositiveParrot · 22/01/2021 09:22

@PippityChippity
Thank you! And those are the OPKs from somewhere like Amazon? I’m going to order now! 🙊

How is life for you? Do you work from home?

PippityChippity · 22/01/2021 09:27

@PositiveParrot No worries! Yep, I get them from Amazon. Think these were a box of 50? I’ve also had Boots ones before which were pretty good.

Life for me is good thank you! I work from home (Share an office with my OH, it’s a good job we like each other! Grin) which I’m loving. Work has been really busy so it’s good for distraction purposes when TTC! Feel really lucky not to physically have to “go” to work at the moment. What about you? How are you finding things? Is work also from home for you too? Xx

PositiveParrot · 22/01/2021 09:35

@PippityChippity

Aww that’s so cute! What do you ‘do’?

Same, WFH for the most part of a year now. I work with women in the criminal justice system who have experienced trauma, it’s been very strange working with people remotely. Normally it’s much easier to build rapport when you can see them / they can see you. I love my job and feel grateful to still be working.
My OH works in construction so in the day it’s just me and the cat (who just decided to poo on the floor, right next to a random 5 pence piece... 😂😂)
So glad it’s Friday!
Xx

PippityChippity · 22/01/2021 11:16

@PositiveParrot I work in cyber security - Very nerdy but I love it! Your job sounds amazing - That must be an incredibly tough but rewarding job. Doing everything remotely has taken a lot of getting used to. Like you, I still feel very grateful to be working! I changed jobs during the Summer and was doing mental commutes before Covid so glad to be rid of that and doing this from home and working closer to home (When I can finally go back to the office).

That is hilarious about your cat - They always pick the most random/inappropriate times to do things like that! We’ve got a dog and she interrupts so many meetings by barking and demanding that we play with it. They sure pick their moments Smile it’s funny that this is now normal though, this time last year people would have been appalled if your dog started barking in a meeting that you were having at home haha! Grin

The Friday feeling definitely never goes away, even in lockdown haha! Another wild weekend on the sofa, watching Netflix and pondering TTC Grin

PositiveParrot · 22/01/2021 12:41

@PippityChippity
Ooh wow that sounds like a cool job!
Yeah it’s fab, slightly odd that I haven’t worked with a man (as a colleague) for nearly 5 years now! My poor OH...! 😂

Pets on zoom are the greatest. I never understand people that get stroppy about pets / kids / partners making an appearance! We are all just people trying our best!

Yep... Netflix, food, naps and pondering (in my case obsessing) about TTC is certainly on the menu.

Hoping everyone has a lovely weekend SmileSmile

MommaSB · 22/01/2021 16:45

My skin has turned awful, bloody hormones. Dry patches, dry lips and red splotches appeared on my cheeks overnight. Spent most of last night tossing and turning with strong lower back cramps and pelvic twinges. Very tired at 6dpo. I have told my OH to hide the pg tests from me which he has 😅 waiting waiting waiting now.
I'm jealous of those wfh. I am furloughed as I cannot do my job from home and I'm bored stiff!
Hope you all have a good weekend.

princesscallie · 23/01/2021 14:48

@PositiveParrot sorry I just seen this today. Yup pretty much. Just what's in my knickers and what's there when I wipe. Would be fairly clued in with mine as have been off the pill for a long time. So would know my most fertile period. Sorry its not very exciting! 😀

DizSquiz · 24/01/2021 18:08

Happy Sunday all!

Happy Sunday @DizSquiz - how's your day been?

PositiveParrot · 24/01/2021 20:18

Happy Sunday @DizSquiz and everyone!
Just about to eat the crumble (finally made it) and it looks banging!
OPKs arrived. Faintest of faint lines on them.. will keep on peeing and dipping 😂

PippityChippity · 24/01/2021 21:39

Happy Sunday @DizSquiz/@PositiveParrot/@MommaSB/@princesscallie! Not paid much attention to MN this weekend so only just seen this! Good weekend here, no snow (Probably one of the few areas that haven’t had any!) but spent time walking our dog on the beach, cooking and watching TV. Now on 6DPO so it’s still a waiting game for me. Don’t really have any strong feelings either way too; We’ve BD a lot this month (A lot more than pre-TTC...TMI) which I hadn’t actually realised until I looked at my Premom app today! It’s also our first proper full month of trying so definitely not getting my hopes up to be disappointed but still hoping! Smile xx

PippityChippity · 24/01/2021 21:40

How is everyone else? Hope everyone has had a good weekend!
@PositiveParrot if you could send me some of that crumble, that would be great please Grin xx

MommaSB · 24/01/2021 21:49

@PippityChippity happy Sunday! We had plenty of snow here in west mids. Spent a lot of time at the nature reserve at the back of our house taking my little boy sledging and a big snowball fight with me him and my partner. 😊 It was needed, I realised I hadn't really left the house for longer than 10 minutes in a long while and I think it's taken my mind off things. Will be 9dpo tomorrow, I had back ache cramps/pulling and felt hot for a few evenings now it's died down and today my stomach feels bruised? Not overly noticeable but realised it was tender when I bent down for something earlier. My skin has really really dried out so much its painful with a few spots and red patches,and the dryness is unusual for me as usually have oily tzone. Not going to frantically Google it because I've had enough of that for now just going to wait till Saturday see if af arrives. X

PippityChippity · 24/01/2021 22:08

@MommaSB That’s awesome! Smile It’s awesome living close to beautiful places at the moment, it’s made me appreciate the beach we have 5 mins from home so much more so I imagine that you feel the same! It’s good to get out in the fresh air, I think it helps to clear your mind. It’s nice to have memories like that for your son too, days like that are really special Smile

It sounds like you’ve got a lot of symptoms there! I’ve read about people having breakouts and changes to skin before so everything crossed for you! Are you going to hold out until Saturday to test or test before? Xx

MommaSB · 24/01/2021 22:40

@PippityChippity I need to get some more tests, I may start from 10 dpo but not get my hopes up that early. Hopefully will go outside again tomorrow. I think I have symptoms too but it's so bloomin hard not to overthink everything your body does in the tww isn't it?

DizSquiz · 28/01/2021 10:42

Hello all, how is everyone doing? How many DPO are you all now? How are you all feeling?

I'm trying not to symptom spot, and failing 😂

Baby dust to all xx

12DPO today. Painful cramps and lower back ache but no sign of AF yet. Had a killer headache yesterday which is rare for me, but based on these pains now I reckon I'm out this month.
