Extremely lonely in my TTC journey

Hi all,
I'm extremely lonely when is comes to discussing TTC as I haven't told anyone that myself and my partner are starting our TTC journey, and are very excited about it.

Me and my partner discuss everything regarding TTC, however it would be nice if I could find some fellow TTC friends to discuss symptoms, O dates etc as he looks at me with a bit of a blank face 😶 when I discuss with him, he try's to understand but if I'm honest I don't understand myself so I'm not very good at explaining

And more importantly to celebrate everyone's BFP's when they arrive 🤞🏼👶🏼

Baby dust to all x
@DizSquiz It’s very easy to say but definitely try not to worry too much at this stage - The fact that you’ve had an LH surge is already a good sign Smile it’s not a given but it’s a good indicator that your body is doing what it is meant to, particularly if you are also getting regular periods.

Keep an eye on the next couple of cycles (If you don’t catch this month - Fingers crossed that you do!) and see what they look like and if there is any pattern to when it happens and any symptoms. My ovulation day has varied from day 13-18 over the course of 3 months since I’ve been off of the pill. If it helps, I get next to no ovulation symptoms aside from very minor cramps on one side! That was all I had this month along with a bit more CM but again, certainly not loads! I only tend to get cramps for the first day or two that I have AF too and don’t get sore boobs, mood swings or anything like that. Some people are just more predisposed to symptoms when hormones shift than others I think. No symptoms isn’t necessarily a bad thing from what I’ve read and understood Smile

Keep tracking your cycles and try and stay positive - The fact that you’ve had an LH surge is a good sign.
Thank you @PippityChippity that has made me feel better about things xx

@DizSquiz That’s okay! ☺️ Xx

Also, if you’re not currently BBT, definitely have a think about starting. I’m not bothering as my sleep schedule isn’t consistent enough and I’ve said I’ll only start that if we haven’t caught after a good few months (Hopefully I can keep that promise and not crack!) but if you are concerned about ovulating, it’s worth a try, even for a couple of cycles. It’s worth doing it alongside OPKs as you don’t know you’ve ovulated until after the event has actually happened so no use in knowing what days to BD really! I’m no expert on BBT as it’s not something I’ve done myself but lots of ladies on here are! Xx

Hi Ladies. Could I join in too? We have just decided to start trying for our 3rd baby. My girls are 7 and 5 so it's 6 years since we've been at this stage. Would love someone to chat to about it. I haven't been on any contraception in over 2 years and I've been taking folic acid on and off since the summer. Had to wait until hubby came on board😀 but am back on it daily now. We just decided to start on Sunday which actually happened to be day 14 of my cycle so we shall he. We didn't track anything last time but as I am older and would like it to happen sooner rather than later itll be much more clinical this time. Hope you are all well and I hope things work out for everyone!

I've not told anyone other than the ladies on here either, aside from dropping a few hints about broodiness @Grace185 or thinking about stopping the pill to a few friends. It feels like quite an exciting secret, but I'm very glad for the community here as it's making me feel less mental.

I started bbt yesterday, my temperature seems ok it hasn't gone up or down at all which is annoying but this my first time tracking so I might just need to keep an eye on it xx

Hi! Im good. Excited, nervous, impatient now we've made a decision!!! 😀 how are u?

Bubblemonkey · 20/01/2021 19:56

1st cycle, CD16, positive ovulation stick on the 15th with declining numbers since.

DizSquiz · 21/01/2021 09:04

Morning all, how is everyone feeling? Xx

Grace185 · 21/01/2021 09:19

@DizSquiz morning! Af is due tomorrow according to my apps and would tie in with cm/ov but could be anytime up to Wednesday. I’ve been having left pelvic pain a lot recently and kinda thinking about testing just to see if I should worry about it or not

PippityChippity · 21/01/2021 09:36

Morning! All good here today. CD16 and 3DPO so just riding that out at the moment! Feeling good though with no real symptoms - Not that I’d expect to have any at this point! Had a few crampy type pains in my stomach last night on my left side but nothing really significant. I’ve really surprised myself at how relaxed I feel about this, I’m just hoping it stays this way!

@DizSquiz how are you doing? How are your temps today? Xx

Hey! Yeah I'm ok , my temp went up a fair amount today but I'm more than 48 hours from my LH surge so I've not got a clue what's going on 😂 xx

@DizSquiz That’s really interesting! The 36-48 hour window thing is just an average so it could well be that you’re ovulating a bit later this month. Have you done an OPK? All of this is so confusing, especially when our bodies seem to make up their own rules about what they do and when! 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️ Xx

Yeah haha so confusing! Yeah I did OPK on Tuesday 10:30am which was peak LH xx

We’re all adults here — 5-6dpo depending when I actually ovulated. Does anyone have itchy dry nipples? Mine feel like sandpaper 😳

I've noticed now I'm looking out for symptoms of ovulation that mine are slightly more sensitive, however not dry/itchy.. do you have any Child's Farm unfrangranced moisturiser? It's fantastic and soothing x

Hi all! Can I join? I feel like I’m going to go mad / drive someone else mad if I shared how how obsessed I am with TTC! 😂
I now check MN every morning and feel far less alone.
I tried discussing ovulation tracking (which I’m still fairly clueless about) with a family member (who fell pregnant twice with ease) and received a wee bit of ‘just relax and it will happen’ judgement 🙄
I’ve had mild endo in my left ovary and been on the mini pill for the last 3 years (and the combined for many years before). I think I’m currently having my withdrawal bleed. X

@PositiveParrot hello! Of course you can 😃 I'm the same, MN is really helping me through, I'm 1DPO (I think) and it's stressful 😅 originally my 'OD' was predicted on the 15th so I had to restart my TWW. I'm still getting used to the tracking side of things so hearing other peoples is really helpful.

How many dpo are you? How are you getting on? Xx

Thank you! I am further behind in the tracking I believe, I’m still waiting for my first proper period after coming off the pill. But I’d like to check if I ovulate regardless! Any tips?

I’m feeling quite good after my giant chocolate binge. How are you? X

This is my first cycle TTC, I'm still getting used to all the stuff tbh, however a few tips are the OPKs, BBT & EWCM

If I'm honest I really struggled with feeling wether or not I ovulated, my peak was on 19th and my BBT went up today however I didn't get any EWCM, I hope that helps at all? I did get some cramping yesterday evening... I'm using two apps to track - Fertility Friend and Fermometer

Fertility Friend has some really helpful tips for tracking etc

Love a chocolate binge, I'm going to make some cookies tomorrow 😋 xx

Aah ok, BBT and OPKS I think I’ve got the hang of, but what’s EWCM?
Thanks for the app tip! ☺️

Oh god cookies! I’m thinking of making a crumble. Honestly it might be purely psychological but I feel like since I stopped the pill I’ve been ravenous. 😂 xx

Ahaha, no judgement from me crumble is amazing.

EWCM is cervical mucus that resembles egg whites (sorry tmi) xx

Ladies, I am almost embarrassed to admit this seen as this is my 3 attempt at TTC but what should I be tracking on my cycle. I downloaded an app to help me with such things. But what else should I be doing? I was very much in the relax and it will happen the last 2 times. But I think I should be a bit more organised this time!

Hey! Don't be embarrassed! That's what we're all here for, advice etc.... What are you currently tracking? I'm tracking my BBT & doing OPKS, trying to track CM but I'm not having much luck with that 😅 xx

@princesscallie You definitely don’t need to feel embarrassed! I think most of us are just kind of bumbling along, hoping we are getting it right along the way - I know I am! Smile

I’m only tracking ovulation with OPKs and half paying attention to CM (Don’t seem to have loads of it...probably TMI, sorry!). I use the Premom app and internet cheaply OPKs from Amazon which seems to work fairly well in the sense that it shows me when my peak occurs so I know when to DTD. Happy to attach a screenshot if you’d like as I’ve really not described this too well! Xx
