Hi everyone,

I’m new to this, though been trying for 6 months now. I’m in my mid 30s and trying for our first baby. So far nothing. This month however, my period started 4 days early. Now I’m always on time, 28 days which lasts between 2-3 days. This months however cycle was 25 days and period lasted 2 days with spotting before and after.

My period was always regular! What could this mean??

Also anyone in their 30s or mid 30s here, can say how long it took them to conceive? I’m starting to feel down about it all!! I’ve read all the statistics on pregnancy in mid 30s but I’d like to hear from people’s own experience here!

Sure it wasn't implantation bleeding?

Hi !! I can totally relate, my advice may be not too positive, i'm 35 ttc #1 for 2 years , what i found is the minute i got into the whole ttc journey, i was noticing every symptom under the sun , and in turn some months my cycles would range. I would usually have a 27/28 day cycle but have a few cycles as short as 17 days or 24 days. My GP wasn't too concerned about it, put it down to stress. I know this may sound cliche but the best advice I can give from my own experience is try to live each day as healthy as possible , destressing and focusing on a few other things going on in life as well, trust me i know easier said than done. The only thing you can do is wait the few days until it's time for period to arrive or to test to see if it is BFP !! Yes there may be a few reasons for an early cycle , implantation bleed ,stress , anything really , so fingers crossed for you for that BFP !! , and full sympathy , I completely understand where you're coming from ,

I did have blood clots, so I suppose it wasn’t implantation?

Wow, I did not expect that! Thanks for the advice. I agree that as soon as you decide to ttc you notice changes that weren’t there before. Like as soon as we started I got so dry before ovulation or with very little mucus. I had been taking vitamin tablets at the begging but then stopped it all together in case the chemicals in tablets were preventing pregnancy. I also heard that if you never used birth control pills before, it would give you a better chance in getting pregnant. Which in my case I’ve never used and still trying. So don’t know how much that is true either...
