Clear blue ovulation with irregular cycles

I have had irregular periods since I came off the pill a few years ago. In that time I have had my first child. Since birth my periods are still very irregular. We are wanting to conceive again and so I am using the clear blue ovulation tests (4 day ones) and I tested the first day after my period and it was negative. I then tested the next morning and straight away got 'peak fertility' (which will stay on the screen for 48hours). I didn't have any high fertility days. What does this mean? Because I can't re-test today as the smile is still on it I did it on another clear blue stick I had which yesterday showed negative and today is showing peak fertility - again no high fertility. So confused. Any advice would be hugely appreciated. I assumed I would ovulate in a couple of weeks so am confused by the results. Thanks in advance for any tips/advice!
