Hi ladies,

I'm looking for a bit of help on my opks.

I stopped pill last May. Started off with regular 28 day cycles. Now they've gradually got longer. Between 33-39 days. I've always had an obvious peak on my chart (>1.8) which has stayed high for a few days before falling.

Last month I think I had a couple of small surges (about 0.8-0.9) before a large peak (>1.8).

This month I've had no big peaks at all but about 3 small surges (about 0.8-0.9). I'm using premom app and it is saying that the first surge which was the highest as my peak. I'm now on CD 37. Had a tiny bit of spotting on Saturday which would have been DPO 9 & 10 but nothing since.

I'm just a bit confused as I've always had pretty big peaks and I'm not convinced I've actually ovulate. I've continued to test and opk has remained around 0.5 when normally it completely tapers down to

I use OPK too but I’ve read a few posters on here say they are not particularly reliable enough to predict ovulation, which seems to be happening here.

I think as it causes so much confusion, perhaps switch to temping which I understand does actually tell you when you ovulate. Bit more of a faff but least it’s more reliable. Track along with CM as that helps me too.

Good luck!

Ooooh, do you have a bit more luck with the opks than me? Unfortunately I can't temp because my sleep is far too erratic 😕

I'll track CM for sure.

@Fcbs20 it seems so, here is my chart. I’ve stopped testing now as my last one was low so assumed it would continue to be low so didn’t want to waste tests.
I found I had to be particularly structured with them though. From day 10, I’d test once a day at around 1pm, then when it got higher, increase to 2 and 3 times a day to make sure I caught the peak. And I’d always make sure I’d been to the toilet and drank nothing for 2 hours before testing, so it’s not watered down for the test. This however made me a little dehydrated as I usually drink a lot of water through the day! So I’m glad I’m no longer testing during the tww and can drink to my hearts content (water!).

All that said, last month I tried opk and could only find a 0.5 peak which made me worry I don’t ovulate at all, however CM says otherwise! Plus my nipples 🙈 so that suggests I think that opk aren’t always reliable.

@cat8986 Thanks so much for sharing your chart. My chart is normally like yours. I've managed to attach them.

I suppose it's important to listen to our bodies too. I've not really had any good CM this month either 😔 though.

I've got my fingers crossed for your tww!!!!
