Clomid if already ovulating with long cycles?

What do you all think?

Me and my partner have been TTC for 13 months. We've had tests done and it turns out I have slightly polycystic ovaries (not pcos) which explains why my cycles are long (35-50 days and occasionally longer). Our specialist suggested three rounds of clomid as our first form of treatment but I thought that was used to induce ovulation in women who don't ovulate? For the most part I do ovulate but it happens later than the 14 day average. I'm just unsure whether clomid will help us conceive?

Hey!

I ovulated later in cycles post day 20 with irregular cycles some months 22 days some 37? Very confusing and hard to track

Clomid helped me ovulate on day 14/15 and I'm guessing helped me produce one good quality egg? Can't remember the technicalities haha.

My first cycle I did days 2 - 6 on 50mg and I'm now sat here with a bump almost 19 weeks.

I had horrendous hot flushes like took my breath away - I took the tables at night pre sleep.

Good luck x
