Hi all, my last normal period was on the 8th December lasted 9 days, so should have had another period on the 5th January which didn't come. I took 2 tests both negative then I had my implant removed on the 13th January and started bleeding on the 14th but it wasn't what I call a normal period it was pinkish and very very light which has now stopped could I be pregnant or am I getting my hopes up?

Surely that's just a withdrawal bleed?

Perfect28 · 18/01/2021 08:47

If you were on contraception and you've had negative tests then it's highly unlikely

If it was withdrawal bleed then why haven't I had my period yet? I'm regular every month just doesn't make sense.

If you had a hormonal implant, you weren’t “regular” but rather you were having cyclical bleeds managed by your contraceptive device. The implant is 99.99% effective so think it’s unlikely you are currently pregnant. It may take a few months for your cycle to sort itself out so I would just try to keep track until you get a pattern appear.
