Worried about TTC

Ok, so I know this sounds crazy but I'm thinking of stopping TTC. I'm just turned 40 and have 3 beautiful kids, youngest 5 years old. Wed love another one to finish with but recently my anxiety is gone mad! I'm worried if something happens to me what will happen my kids as they have a close attachment with me. I'm really worried about getting a blood clot as my sister did in pregnancy. I'm worried about dying but also worried about missing out on this last chance for one more child.
Am I mad, should I just leave it or deal my anxiety. ? Is 40 really too old anyway for baby numbers 4? Are blood clots a big risk now I'm 40...
Anyones advice would be be great ..thanks

Hi OP, 40 is not too old. Had my first and second (twins) at 41 and currently 15 weeks with number 3 having turned 43 two weeks ago. My age has never been mentioned as an issue by any one, and certainly no additional risk of blood clots has been mentioned. The only risks that have been mentioned as slightly higher are GD, and placental failure if the pregnancy goes overdue. For this reason they like to induce if you're going over 40 weeks in most areas I think.
