As the Post Pill Party fills up, the lights are dimmed and the music drops a beat. The lead singer of this rambunctious band shouts: Mosh Pit!! The ravers all storm for the small space in front of the stage allowing their bodies to dance to the beat however the f* they want!! You go ladies!!

This is the 7th post pill party thread for women whose bodies aren’t quite dancing to the expected rhythm: we have delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs!

I'm not sure what my body is doing. Either I have had another troll chart (increased OPKs and temp drop) or I have had a sneaky ovulation??

My OPKs have been really random... certainly nothing positive... but 40% one day, 0% the next, back up a day after ?? Odd. Then my CM has been watery the last few days, then back to creamy today. Yesterday my cervix was high, soft and open, today hard and closed.

I suppose my next day temps will tell, but I don't feel like I have ovulated... and no positive OPK again [insert eye rolling emoticon here] so I guess I haven't. Meh!

@Kay00 haha thanks! well we DTD just now... only I wasn't very aroused (I have dryness issues, plus tightness/vaginismus and DH isn't small) and it was only half penetration iyswim? so TMI, he ejaculated, though when he pulled out there was still semen all over him! So that felt a bit pointless... not sure the chances in this scenario. We are using Preseed though. This has happened a few times as I've always found it difficult with penetration and I can only do it comfortably in missionary so we've tried other positions and no dice. I'm a bit of an anatomical failure I guess! I know all the high school literature used to say you'd get pregnant if you let him come a metre away from your vagina but I'm pretty sure not!

@Kay00 must be so frustrating for you hopefully you ovulate soon!

Does anybody know what hormones the GP actually tests for at any time of my cycle? She said it didn’t have to be done at any particular day she said they will just do them at the same time as they thyroid, vit d and everything else 🤔

@FlyingGiraffe I’m so sorry. As you said, you now know you can get pregnant so that is a great sign. I hope you get your sticky bean soon xx

@minipilling - Was it a flashing smiley? Or static? I would say BD every other when flashing and every day when static (so 2 days in a row)

@ChinChilly I'm not sure what hormones they do but it's great that they listened to you and are arranging tests :)

@Kay00 The CM sounds positive. I really have my fingers crossed that ovulation is just around the corner for you!

@cams50 Glad your OPK's are getting darker. Are you taking the B-vits every day? I was wondering whether to take them through the whole cycle or not...I've been trying them the last two days. They make for an interesting colour wee! Haha!

@Moocher90 Well done on the weight-loss and exercise. I really need to try to exercise more regularly - hopefully now the evenings are getting lighter, I'll be a bit more motivated! 10k steps a day is amazing!

My guess is day 3 tests @chinchilly - they might just ignore the fsh/lh part of it as that's the bit that's day sensitive I think

@chinchilly my doctor ran base line hormone tests at the beginning of my cycle plus TSH test. They tested for polycyclic ovaries and some other things. All came back OK for me which was good.

@FlyingGiraffe static smiley! so we did it just now (though not very successful as I said above) and will probably try again tomorrow at least.

@FlyingGiraffe I came at them from more of a ‘I think I’ve got a hormonal imbalances or my thyroid levels of got worse’ which I think is the only reason they are retesting!

@Kay00 @Juno231 ahh thanks both, I should of asked really but I kept her on the phone for ages and I think they’re only meant to be 10 minute slots

@FlyingGiraffe you sound so positive which is great! Great mindset. You’re right- it’s a fresh cycle. I’m going to try them all month long - as I spot so much / such a short lp and I’ll see how this cycle goes. I got a positive OPK yesterday which is two days earlier than last cycle so hopefully hasn’t delayed ovulation or anything like that.

@ChinChilly that’s great about your blood test. I had one a few months ago on a random day but I don’t know what they checked and just told me everything was ‘normal’. Think it checked thyroid etc. I don’t know why I didn’t ask more. I was scared or something! But I’m having a day 21 blood test today although I only got a positive OPK yesterday so don’t think I’ve even ovulated yet so don’t know what it’ll show.

@minipilling yay for the static smiley and I’m sure the swimmers can swim up there so that wasn’t worthless.

@Juno231 is the thrush better? When’s your new appointment?

@Cams50 the GP told me everything cam back ‘normal’ on my blood tests but my TSH levels are too high. Ask to see the results if you haven’t already then NHS ‘normal’ spectrum is huge

So I’m 2 days late and I’ve been getting period cramps on and off for over a week. Last week one day I had unusual cramps that’s I’ve not had before.

Yesterday I noticed when I wiped myself that I was wet and I’m getting some creamy mucus. So I thought I would do a test today and nothing. I knew anyway so don’t know why I bothered! Although I’m sure I saw the faintest of lines but of course that’s just wishful thinking lol

@Tillybabs I think I can see something 👀 but I would expect it to be darker if you are two days late and those easy@home tests are pretty sensitive...do you have a FRER you could test with?

@minipilling I reckon that the semen will have got where it needed to! 🤞🏻

@Kay00 your OPKs jumping around sounds like me 😂 FF has given me two different dotted crosshairs and I've still had no positive OPK!

So I'm back with my enigma of a chart, ready to confuse myself and you guys for another day 😂 temp was up sliiiightly again this morning so I'll be surprised if I haven't ovulated! But 'when?' is the big question haha.

Played around on FF and if I remove the EWCM from CD18 and CD19, it moves my dotted crosshairs from CD19 to CD23. Which is closer to where I think I've ovulated! The highest OPKs I've had so far (though still not positive) were on CD24. So just have to keep waiting for more temp rises I suppose 🤷🏼‍♀️

I do. Also I’ve had a look at the Premom app and it’s predicted me on a 28 day sucks whereas my last one was 31 days so technically I’m late tomorrow I think?

I think I have a frer. I will check and then do one tomorrow morning if no AF

@ChinChilly great to get the blood work done. My GO is great. Did a full panel a year ago when I told him we were going to be trying which found weird markets and resulted in an EKG and routine visits every two years now to a rheumatologist to keep an eye on my weird blood and make sure no symptoms start lol. Can't make it up. The rheumatologist tan more bloods though including thyroid which the GO apparently hadn't included.

@Kay00 fingers crossed for O. I sometimes think CM is the best indicator.

@Sperr I'm so sorry you've been having such a rough time and hope you're doing ok. Think it's very easy for us to forget the daily anxiety and weirdness we're all living with at the minute and the effect this can have on our TTC stress too. Mind yourself lovely xx

@Moocher90 well done on the diet abd exercise. You're an inspiration. I'm trying to get back to the daily walks but keep getting stuck working late so we'll see how that goes.

@LauraT94 id put money on you ovulating on day 19 which puts you in the TWW with the rest for VDay weekend 🤞

@abi555 im with you on the DTD exhaustion. We have an unspoken week off post FW that we both enjoy 😂

@Juno231 @MissC07 how are my fellow testers? Charts are looking good ladies. Temps still up here and consciously trying to avoid any symptom spotting so not tracking for the most part. Did keep BBTing mainly from curiosity as I wanted to track one whole cycle to the end just to see but don't think it'll be for me in future cycles. Too much chance of disappointment first thing in the morning. Also fighting nosebleeds the last two days which is really annoying. Usually get a bit of it post O but worse than usual. Anyway chart in below for the fun. Going to try hold out til Saturday to test so we'll see how we go. No BFP signs here but no BFN either so all good.

@Gracie2021 it’s good you got a referal, my GP is abit of a nightmare, it was merged into a health centre a few years ago and is massively over subscribed, even if results are borderline abnormal they’re not really interested. Getting an appointment is a nightmare when I booked online last week the first available appointment was the 4th March so I booked it and then called to clarify if it was a phone appointment or in surgery and she offerered a phone appointment the next working day, nearly fell off my chair. Although I’ve got to wait until 24th Feb for my blood tests as thats the soonest appointment.

@Gracie2021 oooh do you reckon?? That would be good I feel like we DTD more around CD19 so that would give us better chances haha!

Out of curiosity I went and added the EWCM back in as i definitely did have it those days. And I marked the really low temp of CD23 as an anomaly in case I was sleeping with mouth open! And it changed crosshairs again to CD20... 😂

@Tillybabs I did feel like I could see a shadow of a line on the test but I didn't want to say anything because I've never used that brand before so I don't know what's normal for them! Hope FRER gives you your answer either way ❤️

@LauraT94 I'd say CD23 looks likely with a slow rise afterwards :)

@Gracie2021 @MissC07 Temp went back up today to 36.9 (I'll attach the chart at some point) but RHR dropped by one 1bpm. Trying to ignore it all best I can as I just know it won't amount to anything.

@Cams50 appointment is on the 11th - IF it takes place . It appears to be with a completely different hospital now? And they never had us fill in any forms beforehand the way most others seem to have to. Plus they haven't actually told us to bring OH which is ridiculous cause I'm pretty sure that if I didn't know and didn't bring him - the appointment wouldn't be able to go ahead!

@LauraT94 haha, I always play around with the different variations too... I wonder if perhaps you ovulated on CD26 (as this is when your EWCM finished), looking at temps alone though I would say CD19 too.

My chart attached... i'm pretty sure I didn't ovulate. Plus I have thrush again now... so not going to fancy DTD if ovulation does happen any time soon .

I'm feeling quite deflated about TTC at the moment. I feel like i'm out of the game; I last ovulated 81 days ago. My body isn't falling into a nice pattern, its getting worse. I I have another anovulatory cycle (despite trying the Soy Iso which should help kick start ovulation) then i'm going to pursue private fertility treatment. I'll speak with my GP, but if they are not willing to refer me then i'm going private.

@Gracie2021 @FlyingGiraffe thank you (and everyone else) for your messages. I don’t know why I was in such a panic yesterday but I feel much better today. Diet was well and truly ruined 😂.

I wasn’t going to take my temp today but I woke up at the same time naturally and thought what the hell why not and it’s gone up again. We DTD last night so if my ovulation was now at least there is a tiny chance that we caught it. I might go again tonight for good luck.

OH being really good - I think I might have scared him and said that he should consider having his sperm tested so he’s done a load of research and is basically going to start being kind to his sperm 😂😂😂😂. Changing his diet, exercising more and not so many hot baths!
