First time tracking ovulation help

I have been ttc for the last 3 years after my first child I have irregular periods ranging from 21-42 days apart so I finally decided to see when I am ovulating and was wondering if someone can tell me if cycle day 18 was my peak ?

I'd say you potentially missed your surge during the day of the 18th? Second morning urine works best on these tests usually.

If you have irregular cycles it would be a good idea to track your temperature as well to identify ovulation.

Hi thank for the reply I have done the dee on cycle day 18th once I took the test and on cycle day 14 before that do you think I am still within a chance ?

@J2021 Hi, yes you're in with a chance if you DTD CD18 and you Ovulated CD19 or 20. Good luck!

Thankyou if an ovulation test is postive on cycle day 18 does that mean I ovulate on cycle day 18 or before or after ?I've read that you can concieve 12-48 hours after the surge so going to do the deed tonight again on cycle day 19 to be safe side amd hope for the best I have turned to this forum as I don't want to talk to family due to ttc for so long and don't want to have to answer all the questions all I get asked is when you having another and I just say maybe a year or two when I am ready but they don't know me and my partner have been trying for 3 years trying to save the hassle of why is it taking so long ext

@J2021 yes that's right - you ovulate 12-48h after a peak. So definitely jump OH and even tomorrow if you can muster it.
