Have I ovulated or not - Help!

I'm nearly in tears with this whole TTC lark atm. I'm just so confused and don't know where I stand...

I'm 29 TTC #1. I have been doing OPK's but not charting. A week ago I got a static smiley on CB Advanced digital and a high on an IC (not quite peak but nearly). Literally since the day I thought I ovulated I have had intense lower back ache - I've never had this before.

I thought I was on 8 DPO today and out of curiosity I did another CB Advanced digital and IC OPK. The CB came back negative but the IC was positive.

I don't know where that leaves me and whether this is a good or a bad sign. I'm driving myself insane.

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Hi don't have much advice as I'm new here and first time taking an ovulation test last few days and I want to know if you could help and tell me if this was my peak ? And help would be great been ttc for last 3 years so trying to track ovulation now as have such irregular periods

To be a positive OPK on an dip test the line has be either the same colour or darker than the control line. It looks like CD14 was close for you but not quite there yet. You may have just missed your surge as they can happen very quickly.

Sorry CD 18 not 14 xx

@bubs91 stop doing OPKs and just wait until about 10DPO then you can start testing with FRERs if you want to. Don't stress yourself out with the OPKs! If you are worried about the positive IC then keep taking it twice a day until it's back to low again.

@J2021 Use the premom app to input your photos and it will tell you which your high and peak are. It looks different for everyone as we all have different baseline levels. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply was so helpful i did the deed on cycle day 14 then on cycle day 18 once I seen the test I didn't do it on cycle day 17 so do you think I am still in with a chance I have a 4 year old little girl and been trying since she was 1 and nothing has happened I know I can get pregnant as last pregnancy but that took 2 years I am just thinking these irregular cycles have made it extra difficult this time round
