So I was really happy Tuesday found out I was pregnant after 9 months TTC. I went for a ultrasound last week as I was getting ovulation pain and I called the doctor today they’ve got my results back. They found a cyst which he said is a normal part of my cycle but because it’s causing discomfort they are going to send me for another ultrasound.

I am now panicking and googling that is this a false positive I’ve got as some types of cysts can cause this. I have regular periods every month and I hope that this is it I haven’t come on my period yet. I just feel so sad and have no one to talk to😢

Its likely you have a corpus luteum cyst, is that what they said? You get this cyst in early pregnancy as well as regularly in your cycle, it can cause discomfort sometimes.

Doesn't mean that you aren't pregnant. Did you get a good line on yr test?

@Toastedsesame no he didn’t say what it is he just said that it is a regularly normal cyst but because of the discomfort they’ve sent me for another test

So those tests are super positive, I'd say you are pregnant and you also have a cyst. People say that cysts can sometimes cause lines on pregnancy tests, but I don't think they'd be that dark!

Did you mention to the Dr that you'd had positive pregnancy tests? If so its likely they just want to check the cyst, lots of people have them during pregnancy and sometimes they self resolve.

@Toastedsesame thank you I did think the same I am a worrier at the best of times 😓.

He congratulated me and gave me the midwife number to call. He said when I go for the scan for them to check the cyst to just let them know I’m pregnant.
