Hi ladies, I got a phone call today there booked me appointment February 2nd in 3 weeks time waited 7 months. Anyone been sterilized on here what's the after pain life and how long till you feel back to your self again, ?

I'm scared of pain and dont deal well with it so would like yo know

Hey lovely. I’m not sure this forum is the best for advice on this. Maybe one of the other forums would be better? My best friend was sterilised during her c section with her 4th baby and I don’t remember her having any issues. X

Hope it all goes well for you @katey2020 but not sure the conception board is the right place for this post. The ladies here are trying to get pregnant so are unlikely to have any experience with being sterilised.

Might be worth speaking with admin to see if they can move this to a more relevant board for you.

I was sterilised last jan. Was a keyhole procedure. Wasn't in cocodamol helped. I have a belly Button scar and a scar lower left side of abdomen. Only problem I had was an infection in my stitched after 2 weeks but antibiotics sorted it. I also has a nurse take out my stitches as although they were dissolvable they didn't dissolve and hurt when I caught them.
With the laperscopic procedure healing time is quick (had a 2 week sick line) and was told I could resume normal activities, no limits on lifting etc. If you have any question feel free to message me.

And only problem is i dont no anyone who drives and my partner dont drive and has 2 children to look after. The hospital said I cant get taxi home 😒 x
