Am I testing to early?

Hey, I think I ovulated around the 26th, AF is only 4 days late, I took 2 tests last week and one Tuesday afternoon and one this afternoon, is it possible I’m getting false negatives with testing too early and with testing in the afternoon? I’ve been TTC for 6 months now and I’m really hoping this is it, but don’t want to get my hopes up just yet, TIA

The advice is tests should be fairly reliable from the date of missed period. But everyone is different. Also first morning urine will be more concentrated and better for testing. Good luck.
