Hello is there anyone else out there at the start of their TTC journey ? I stopped the pill mid December, had withdrawal bleed and now awaiting return of natural AF. Aim is to lose some weight, get the healthy nutrients in, get to grips with my cycle with the view of trying in a relaxed style in the spring. Be great to hear from others re how long it is taking your body to get back to normal after years on the pill x

Hi @Dalmxo. We are at the beginning of our TTC journey. I didn’t really try this month so next month will be our first “proper” month trying.

That sounds like a great plan :)

I was on the pill for 11 years so I was concerned about my cycle being all over the place. I came off in November 2019 because it caused me health issues. I had my withdrawal bleed and then AF came in December as expected. My cycles were around 29- 31 days for around 5 months and then occasionally I would get a 36/37 day cycle. On the whole I would say AF has been fairly regular and I have not been concerned at all. My average cycle is now 32 days.

Hi @Dixie1488! That sounds really positive re your AF returning soon. I suppose I have the rest of this month to see what happens.. hoping it comes back so that I know that things are working! But I must remind myself I've started the journey early to get prepped for officially TTC.. so that I have time to start getting my body ready and this is the part of process!
I have my fingers crossed for you this month ! Smile

@Dalmxo I am sure you’ll be absolutely fine :) I think that’s such a sensible idea. Waiting a little bit will also allow you to track your cycles and start to get to know your body.. like when you’re ovulating etc.

Aw Thankyou! I think AF may be on the way because I’ve had a tiny bit of spotting which is how it usually starts but it’s okay, I look forward to properly trying next month 😊

So will this be your first baby? 😊

@Dixie1488 Yes, first baby, how about you?
I just want to get body prepped a bit if I can, fairly healthy day to day but you know especially after Xmas binge of food and booze and start of new year (whatever kinda start this is lol!)
I'm 31 and have waited a year to start this journey as wasn't the right timing before (although 'they' all say there never is) So nice that these chats exist as for now no friends or family know and it will probably stay that way until the first scan! If it comes up over a wine with a GF I will prob say open to what happens! But other than that we will keep as lovely thing between us as a couple. Husband is open to it of course but so not into the DTD on demand/ per the diary so hopefully as the months go on I can at least steer us in the right direction when I know more about ovulation dates 🙏
How lovely would it be to go on holiday and plan it on the ovulation dates- would be perfect! Ah we can dream!

@Dalmxo Yes first baby too. I know what you mean. I am generally a healthy-ish person but lock down means no gym and the snacks are creeping in, especially with PMS haha.

Ah i see, I’m 27 (28 in March) and feel the same. Now feels right for us but not before really. We enjoyed lots of holidays and just didn’t want to think about Children. Like you say there never is really a right time though!

Absolutely 😊 I have been in a few chats on here and found it so supportive and insightful. I haven’t told anyone and don’t plan to- too much pressure I think.

Aw I get that. My partner is open to all the sex 😂 but I’m not so sure he will be when I summon him to the bedroom every other day when he is knackered after work haha 😆

That would be lovely ☺️
