Ovulation peak

I have been testing using clear blue ovulation sticks from day 9 and I think my cycle seems to be 26/27 days. I finally got a smiley face on Tuesday morning and we had already dtd a few days earlier on in the week as thought I would ovulate sooner than I did and then from Saturday just past, Mon, Tues and Wed. Should we again tonight or do you think we are covered? Confused

First cycle using the ovulation sticks which has been useful as I've just been using the flo app which said I would ovulate sat/sun so was slightly off but not sure if mon/Tues/wed is enough or if we should dtd again tonight just in case. Thanks Smile

Was it the purple CB with flashing smiley / static smiley? Or CB pink with just static? xx

@Amz6219 it was the clearblue pink with the static one Smile xx

I think you're covered then - have a rest! LOL!

It detects the peak about 18-36 hours before ovulation and after ovulation the egg only lasts 12-24 hours so it has more than likely gone (or been fertilised :) ) by now. Also sperm needs to go through capacitation to be mature enough to fertilise, which takes about 10 hours.

The 5 days before and day of ovulation are the best days so you more than have that covered, fingers crossed for your BFP!! xx
