Anyone's BFN at 9dpo turned to a BFP?

Hiya, I'm 9dpo and took a test this morning and was a BFN. I know it's super early still, and if I am pregnant implantation may not have happened, but just wondering if anyone tested at this stage and got a BFN which turned into a BFP?

I'm probably clutching at straws, but I just feel different this month....

@ELBlack not so much with the symptoms tbh yet. I feel very tired but can't for the life in me sleep at night, I never could when I was pregnant with DD and when I do sleep I am still having the vivid dreams lol. Boobs feel fine and not nauseous yet. I keep having stomach cramps which is stressing me a little but hopefully it's just a sign that everything is getting ready for bump to start growing lol.

Oh I am remember the bad moods well (and so can DP lol) hormones have a lot to answer for haha. Have you told anyone yet apart from your DP? We are telling his parents next weekend as we need them to look after DD when we go for our scan but we haven't told anyone else yet. I am desperate to tell my close friends but it's not the same telling them through texts/phone but at this rate with lockdown I will be giving birth before I will be able to see them face to face 😂 xx

ELBlack · 25/01/2021 14:50

@carolba ah nothing worse than not being able to sleep. I'm sleeping a lot, but having vivid dreams too! Yesterday I was so bloated and felt like I had a rock in my stomach, like a pulling feeling, so I think it was my uterus stretching.

We've told my mum, sister and best friend (who is also pregnant) my DH is hoping we can tell his family in person as it will be the first grandchild on his side, but all depends on lockdown etc. Xx

@ELBlack yes I feel quite bloated too.

Ah yes that will be lovely if you can tell them face to face, especially being their first 😍 Maybe you could get them a little onsie or a gift and if you aren't able to see them you could leave it on their doorstep and step back and watch them open it! Oh it's so exciting!! I don't think I will be able to keep it a secret much longer so I will have to think of a clever way to tell a few close people lol xx

Carolba · 26/01/2021 08:22

@ELBlack the cramps got worse yesterday, just dull and constant all day and I eventually started bleeding 😭 Just a little last night when I wiped but this morning cramps are worse and a lot more blood. DP left for a meeting early this morning and I can't tell him over the phone so will have to wait til he gets home. I am totally devastated xx

ELBlack · 26/01/2021 09:04

@carolba I'm so sorry you're in pain. I've never had a mc so I'm afraid I can't offer any advise from that perspective, but quite a lot of women have cramping and some bleeding early on, try not to think the worst (although I know that's impossible) have you contacted EPU? Sending lots of hugs xx

@ELBlack thank you. Yes I have read a million threads that it still could be ok with bleeding and cramps but this is exactly the same that happened my previous 2 times so I am not holding out any hope :( EPU are never interested before 6 weeks. The first time it happened I rung the doctors so upset and he basically said sit and wait and if you loose it you loose it theres nothing that can be done. The second time it happened I never bothered ringing them and let it take its course. I really thought this time would be different though, my lines got darker alot quicker and me and DP had really started getting our hopes up. He will be so so upset when I tell him. Each time it happens it gets harder and harder, I think that's it for us trying for another one now, it's too heartbreaking. I am 42 now and we were totally blessed last year with our DD and immediately started trying for another before I got too 'old' but it just doesn't seem like it is meant to be 😪.

Sorry for the rant! Hope you are doing ok? Has the bad mood subsided yet? xx

ELBlack · 26/01/2021 10:21

@carolba I'm so so sorry, you must be so stressed, especially if its similar to the previous 2. So sorry you had to go through it alone. I can't imagine how upset you are, even if it is nothing to thing to worry about in the end, just going through this is horrible enough. I really hope the bleeding and pain eases off, but i do think you should try EPU, especially after 2 previous losses, they should see you even before 6 weeks. Don't apologise for ranting! Wish I could do more to help.

I'm fine thanks, exhausted today despite sleeping on and off for 10 hours. My bad mood has subsided but the bloat is in full force today, even my gym leggings feel very tight xx

Oh @Carolba I'm sorry you're going through this, I hope everything will be OK. Don't lose hope yet it could be completely harmless. Can you book in for a private scan? Just to check and put your mind at ease. I hope so much all is fine xx

Carolba · 26/01/2021 14:13

@ELBlack and @TTCPLEASE thank you so much for your kind words and wishes 😘

DH is home now, which upset me so much. Somehow it is easier dealing with my own pain than seeing it in his eyes! I have rung the doctors who said they would get someone to ring me back. I am still trying to hold on to some hope that everything will be ok but realistically I know in my heart it won't be. DD is keeping me busy and preoccupied but I just can't wait until DP has finished WFH and I can get a long hot bath and try and start to get my head around it.

Watch out for the moods @ELBlack they will be around on and off for the next 8 months but are totally normal and eventually you will feel 'yourself' again lol (it took me until DD was about 2 months old and then it was like yeyy I am back, I have missed you 😂) xx

ELBlack · 26/01/2021 15:10

@carolba I'm so sorry you're going through this, and I know it's not easy seeing someone you love upset, but please remember it isn't your fault and nothing you've done wrong. I really am hoping so much that it's harmless for you as bleeding is really common around this time.

Definitely try and spend the evening relaxing and doing something that takes your mind off things.

I'm feeling a lot better mood wise today, and luckily none of my rage so far has been towards my husband, but I have been getting very angry at some emails which have been coming in 😡😂 even though they're harmless, I'm trying to bite my tongue and not fly off the handle lol xx

OP posts:
Carolba · 26/01/2021 16:33

@ELBlack lol yes bite your tongue and try to ignore. Hormones have a lot to answer for!

The doctor has just rung back and although she was lovely the advise was the same as last time. They can't do anything just yet, EPU won't accept anyone less than 7 weeks pregnant. I have to wait and take a test in a few days, if it is still positive then I will be referred to midwives, if it's negative they will refer me to the gynecologist.to see if there is anything underlying. Praying the bleeding stops but I really don't think it will :( xx

ELBlack · 26/01/2021 16:40

@carolba I'm so sorry! The waiting game is the worst. I really hope it stops and everything turns out OK. Appreciate how hard it is to see any positivity in this though. Always here to chat if you need xx

Thank you so much @ELBlack. I took a test this morning and the line is really faint so my hcg has dropped loads. It's ironic, a few weeks ago I would have been buzzing to see a line like that on a test. This morning I am just numb and resigned to the fact that this one wasn't meant to be. I am not sure what I will do from here but for now I will enjoy my gorgeous DD, be thankful for my super supportive DP and have a very large glass of wine tonight.

Your pregnancy symptoms sound brilliant, really strong so although I wish you a happy and healthy 8 months I just know that you will :) I am super excited for you and thank you for starting this thread! I never normally post on threads but I guess this month I needed a bit of extra support 😘 xx

Carolba · 28/01/2021 14:57

Hi, just to give you an update! The bleeding stopped yesterday morning so I took a test this morning and it was darker than yesterday. I have rung the doctors back and I have to take another test in 2 days and if still positive they will book me in for an early scan. The doctor was so lovely again and said it's common for the bleeding but the drop in hcg wasn't but there was no reason to think that at this point that I am not pregnant! I feel totally drained, slightly optimistic and very scared xx

ELBlack · 28/01/2021 15:30

Hi @carolba so sorry for not replying to your last message. I had my own saga and ended up in EPU with suspected ectopic. Thankfully everything is fine and measuring right on track, and in the right place. We saw gestational sac and yolk sac 😍

So sorry things have been so up and down for you, but really really hoping you get some positive news in a couple of days with your test. Try and relax and take care of yourself. Keep me posted xx

Hey @Carolba I hope everything is OK. just to let you know I had on and off bleeding for three months during my first pregnancy, and it was fresh red blood. Freaked me out and I was lucky to be in France for some of it where they are generous with scans. Must have had about 6 scans before 12 weeks. All. Was fine. So these things do happen... 🤞

Rmd123 · 05/02/2021 21:41

Hi @Carolba just checking in with yourself, how is everything? X

Ka15 · 06/02/2021 08:22

Congratulations everyone 💞I also am 9 dpo and have taken a asda test yesterday afternoon and not sure if it's an evao line or not. Tested this morning and it was a dodgy test will upload photo shortly. This is yesterday. Not sure what to think x
