Hi all,

I have been trying for a 4th baby since feb 2020. I have a new partner and we want our own child. I have 3 previous children and have had 3 c sections.
We have jumped ahead and we’re quite proactive with tests.
Today I had consultation with Dr. He has suggested that I have a HyCosy procedure to rule out any tubal abnormalities. This is fine.

Everything is fine with partner.

Just wondering has anyone had this done? What should I expect etc..
has it helped natural conception ? I-e flushing out tubes etc..

TIA

I had one quite a few years ago when I couldn’t conceive our first dc. The actual procedure was fine, not at all uncomfortable and was over in a short while. No issues found and after 3 years of trying I became pregnant quite quickly after. Not sure if that was down to the procedure or just luck. Good luck with it.

Hi @Navarone2, I’ve not had any experience of the procedure you’re being offered, although I have heard great things about it with many women falling pregnant quite quickly afterwards so fingers crossed it will have the same effect for you.

I just wanted to say I’m in a very similar position to you. I am ttc baby number 4 with my new (been with him 3.5 years) partner. I have 3 children from a previous relationship and they were all born via c section. My partner has no children.
We have been ttc since September 2019, and unfortunately suffered 4mc in the last year, most recently in November.

But I did yesterday at 8dpo get a very tentative bfp which was confirmed today with darker tests. After 16 months ttc it has felt like it would never happen, and I still know there’s a very real possibility that this pregnancy also won’t stick, but for now I’m trying to remain positive x

I haven't had the HyCoSy but my friend fell pregnant the first month after having it done, having TTC for 3.5 years!

Good luck :)
