TTC #1 and new to OPK's so be gentle with me!
I bought the easy@home sticks from Amazon, and downloaded their suggested app (Premom) to record the results.

Today is only CD9 so I was expecting a low reading - the picture recorded 0.67 then 0.16 a few moments later (same stick, was just getting used to capturing the images). Seems like quite a jump?? Are they just a bit cheap and useless?

I find these OPKs really good, until you get your peak the LH hormone will jump up and down at the low end, you don't need to worry about this. It will become obvious when you get your peak because the test line will get much darker. I recommend using the Femometer app for reading the strips, I found the percentages easier to guage what level I'm at. I've attached a pic from the app so you can see what it looks like.

Thanks for this, definitely prefer the %'s!

@glow92 did you use the manual reader or automatic reader? I had the same issue before, you may want to contact their support team for some suggestions. As they told me, the reading can be different while using different readers.
