Hey guys, I use the premom Lh surge strips and have been for the past few months. Been TTC for about 6/7 months now but no luck.

With the strips, I always get a peak on CD10 and my periods are usually 25/26 days long. This month I’m on CD11 and still haven’t had a peak. Is this normal? For all my months I’ve been getting the same peak on the same day and now I’m concerned I haven’t even had a peak!?

Can anyone help please? The only thing I’ve changed this month is I’ve started using seven seas for conception and previously I just used folic acid and vitamin d.

Bit worried here!!

I found when I used the seven seas vitamins that my cycle changed and I also started getting weird sick feeling (not helpful when you are symptom spotting during tww!). I stopped taking them and just use separate folic acid now. It might be you have slightly extended your pre ovulation phase, could be the iron in the seven seas.

It could be the seven seas tablets to be honest. I wouldn't worry about it though, a slightly later ovulation will give your egg more of a chance to mature. Anything below CD11 I'd be a bit worried about the viability of the egg tbh!

@AKcheer I started 7 seas this month, nothing different as yet but this is also my first month using strips. I ovulated cd17, keep testing... I've heard that 7 seas can mess up cycles xx

Does folic acid do anything to your cycles? Started taking it this month and I'm late for AF first time in years!

AKcheer · 12/01/2021 14:19

@PandemicBabyPlz oh really? How long did you take them for? I was just taking folic acid and vitamin d but I’ve seen such good reviews of them!

@Juno231 maybe I should just keep on them then I just feel a bit uneasy and now scared of what’s going to happen to the timing of my period!

@marcella64 okay il keep trying them! Ooh really? I just read so much about the seven seas and they seemed so good!

@Aims1991 nope folic acid never done anything to my cycles!!! Have you tested x

@AKcheer yeah tested once with CB early detection and once with digital and both negative!

@AKcheer I wasn’t on them long but I had tracked my cycles before and after they had shifted by a few days. It was mainly the queasy feeling they gave me that made me stop taking them over the separate vitamins. I wouldn’t caution you to stop with them necessarily as they may actually be helping it all comes down to how you feel in yourself. When you are tracking it’s sometimes a little scary to see variability appear - but it might just be a new pattern emerging - maybe giving you better chances!
