Also posted this on genera health, but I’m not sure what subject it would fall under. So trying in both!
So, where to start. In April 2020 I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks, but they said I was only measuring 6 weeks. Me and my partner started TTC again in the June, failed attempts until I got a positive in October 2020. That pregnancy ended in a chemical pregnancy as I was testing positive and then a week later my period arrived and tests were quickly negative. I didn’t have a period for the whole in November 2020, so I took tests first week of December most negative and then they started turning faintly positive. Again, started bleeding and was told another miscarriage. I am being referred to the NHS recurrent miscarriage clinic, but with Covid it’s all been on hold.
But back to the research I’ve been doing. I developed BV (bacterial vaginosis) when I was about 22, I’m now 25, it comes and goes, I’ve been on antibiotics, done at home treatments. Everything. I finished a course of antibiotics in December when I had a swab and it came back positive for BV. I’m now on my period and before I came on I thought BV was coming back. But is BV the reason for my miscarriages? I’ve been tested for blood clotting, all came back normal, I’ve had ultrasounds and again all looking fine, my womb is fine, the lining around it is fine. They just said my ovaries were a bit bulky and showed cysts. Which polycystic ovaries have been mentioned, had bloods and waiting on those results.
I just want help with the BV and it constantly happening. I’m at my wits end and I haven’t helped myself by reading into it last night and now thinking I’ve made myself infertile by having it🤦🏼♀️
