Hi all! Currently 3dpo in month 13 of TTC. If I don't get my BFP this cycle, I'm going to be starting clomiphene/clomid next cycle. Please can anyone with positive experiences with this drug share below. For the record, I have a mild pco/pcos and for the most part, ovulate naturally although my cycles are long (35-50 days on average).

I have pcos and had 3 cycles of clomid before I conceived DD who is now 23. A further cycle produced DS now 20! Good luck!

Hi @pearlsandpetals, this thread sounds interesting! I haven’t been trying as long as you, four cycles so far... very LONG cycles. I’ve recently been diagnosed with pcos. Also seem to ovulate but it takes ages. Currently waiting to hear from the hospital when my go has referred me for further tests/treatment

Excited for you to start clomid but obviously hope you get your BFP this time so you don’t need it.

Thank you for your story @crazydogmumma

It's going back some years but had been trying to conceive second child and couldn't. Started on Clomid then went on holiday to Prague. Daughter now 15!

Had to Chuck £1k worth of drugs away but she's worth it 😁

I went on clomid after my period refused to come back after a loss. Got pregnant on the fifth cycle. Sadly another loss, but then pregnant on the first cycle. DD is nearly 2 - I'm a fan!

I don’t have a positive clomid story (yet, but I’ve got my fingers crossed!) but I am taking my last clomid tablet tonight and this is my first cycle trying it...I was feeling quite pessimistic about it but I’ve been reading up on it more and now I’m excited to see what happens...even if it doesn’t work for us on our first few cycles I feel quite positive that it might be what actually helps in the end.
On a slightly mental note, I feel like it’s a good sign that two of the people commenting on this thread have usernames @Crazydogmumma and @shinyblackdog because I have a smooth haired black labradoodle who I am absolutely obsessed with, so I feel like this is a sign that clomid is successful for my kind of people 😂
@pearlsandpetals hope it all goes well for you and you get your BFP soon 😊

I had PCOS from teen years to when I wanted to have my first. My cycles had always been long & erratic, 30-42 days, with missed periods in between, & most other associated PCOS symptoms (except I was underweight.) I took a low dose of Clomid (sorry, can't recall how much now, it was 14 years ago!) and conceived boa IUI on my second cycle.

When my periods re-started after my DS they were much more regular, around 29-34 days, & all the associated PCOS symptoms such as skin issues reduced to virtually nothing. 5 years later my consultant & I decided to try treatment without Clomid & I conceived my DD on the first attempt at age 36.

Since she's been around my periods have been even more regular, around 31-33 days & no skipping. Consultant told me they do see cases like mine, with long term PCOS which vanishes after a baby. She told me for some women pregnancy kick starts a woman's body away from PCOS. I started menstruating at 13 & had to get to 37 to have normal periods!

I hope this helps. Very best of luck 🤞🏻

My positive Clovis story is currently snoozing in his cot and he’ll be 2 in March. It was my second round.
If you’re on Instagram look for #clomidsuccess and there will be loads on there. Good luck!

Hey - third month of Clomid and I got my BFP (I don't have pcos but I wasn't ovulating). First time I've ever been pregnant and I'm 39. Currently around 5/6 weeks pregnant. Best of luck!

Corcra · 11/01/2021 22:37

Hi.
I had pcos and was ttc for over a year. On the second round of the lowest dose of clomid I became pregnant. I now have a beautiful almost 10 year old.
After my second baby (same, second round) my periods are very regular 26-28 days.
Best of luck.

Unexplained infertility here for 2 years but got pregnant with ds (8) in my first ever cycle of clomid. Then got pregnant with ds2 with no help whatsoever.
