super faint positives now negative..no bleed

Hi
I had super faint squinty tests for about a week and now the last 2 seem to be negative, I wasn't expecting it to be successful because of the non progressive tests but with my chemical last year I bled before they turned negative.

Anyone else had this? Not sure whether I need to do anything if I don't have a bleed. Tests were super faint but had colour within the time and the 2 frer I did where were the same and are even more obviously pink now dry but frer yesterday was blank and dried blank as well.

Can post photos if it helps but they were super squinty but I promise there.

Main worry is do I need to bleed? Why wouldn't I bleed? Just very confused and a little sad

Thank you in advance 💕

Sorry OP Flowers

Personally, I'd wait a bit longer. The bleeding doesn't always happen immediately, it's normal for it to take a bit of time. How far along are you?

Thank you 💕 the last one I had I bled before they went negative so wasn't sure what the norm was. I'll wait and see thank you. I have no idea, I stopped the pill and wasn't tracking, based on the tests and timing I'd guess5/6 weeks but they were so so faint I was expecting it

It might be that your hormones are decreasing slowly. I'd anticipate if it's a CP the bleeding should start within a week. If you think you're around 6 weeks if nothing happens within the next few days, get your GP to refer you to the Early Pregnancy Unit.

Re your tests, have you always tested with FMU? No diluted urine?

firsttimemummy321 · 10/01/2021 18:19

Thank you, I think I will I call before Friday if no bleeding still I'd rather be safe if there's anything remaining, I had a worry that it was ectopic (no real reason just a strange gut feeling) so if no bleeding will want to be checked for peace of mind.

I tried fmu and evening (with my first got strongest lines in the evening for some reason) over nearly 2 weeks always the same, saw something about the hook effect and was hopeful so diluted with water and was negative when they were normally faint so not that :(

No that would be too early for hook effect.

If the pregnancy was progressing well, you'd see a difference between your tests over a two week period.

I would continue to watch for signs of ectopic though, yes, and in fact if you are concerned about that then perhaps contact your GP sooner to get an internal scan at the EPU. I take it you have no symptoms of ectopic now?

firsttimemummy321 · 10/01/2021 18:28

As I came of the pill I had no idea so suddenly wondered if I was further than I suspected so tried it, so with when I first tested I'd say that far ish.
It was just a strange feeling (most likely completely wrong) that it was no symptoms so no reason to be concerned and if it's now negative I'd assume even if it was it wouldn't grow and cause problems so just if I don't bleed Id want them to check just in case.

I'd also get your GP to check your progesterone levels when you're not pregnant. It may be completely random, but you may have low progesterone or immune system issue (for example natural killer cells) preventing successful implantation. The latter can only be tested privately, but the fitmer should easily be done by your GP. Unfortunately you won't get any other tests on the NHS after two losses, but at least you can get the ball rolling if you wish. I had 3 miscarriages, one similar timing to you and two later and am currently under the Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic. Lots of sympathy and strength to you Flowers

I had a chemical last month and bled 11 days after the (single, faint) positive.

firsttimemummy321 · 10/01/2021 19:16

@PurplePansy05 Didn't think of that thank you so much I'll definitely ask the question. I'm so sorry for your losses 🤞🏻 for you and sending lots of love and strength! 💕

Definitely speak to your GP and inform them it's your second loss, this should go in your notes as if you were to suffer a third consecutive loss (hopefully not!), you should get a referral to an RMC.

Thank you & best of luck to you Flowers
