Newbie TTC 2021 club!

Hi girls - looking for a little crew to share the ttc journey with - we are newbies this year - decided on Jan 31st to start trying after 12 years together! but had literally just missed my ovulation day for that cycle, so even though we had some fun over NY we are properly starting next cycle around the end of the month - just have to wait to finish this cycle now, and I've never wanted a period to come so quickly haha!

So - any cycle sisters out there who will be trying with me on or around end of Jan? I'm Cd21 right now.

And feel free to share stories and ages!

I'm 34 and have been off the pill for about 2 years now - we don't really use protection just pull out lol and never had a scare so I'm a little worried we could have a bit of a long journey. Although my mum conceived me first time trying so I'm praying it's in the genetics lol!

Not sure about you but I'm already getting obsessed which seems to be pretty normal lol but it would be good to have some pals to talk to rather than my cat or my husband, who I think I could quite quickly freak out if he knew just how many mum'snet threads I've read!

Also... What are you most looking forward to being pregnant?

@Wondergirl1111 So without putting you off your afternoon coffee! I've had a weird feeling in my stomach which I'm convinced is AF cramps starting! But I removed tampon and it's has a splashing of brown stuff! No idea what's happening

AF is definitely here and I'm gutted! Came a day early! I know we will be going into month 4 of trying but I just feel so deflated! My OH is trying to be positive about it but I'm just struggling. I've not told anyone we are trying but I think it's about time I talk to my mum about it. Anyone told people they are TTC

@Aims1991 oh darling I'm so so sorry. I think I can feel mine coming too this morning.

I lost my job yesterday so I told my friend at work we are ttc... But apart from that no one. I think there are ridiculous stigmas around miscarriage and how long it takes each person to fall pregnant, which is a big reason why people don't share it with loved ones. But my thought the other day was, if I miscarried I would probably want to tell my mum anyway, so what's the point in keeping an early pregnancy from her?
The same might apply to how you feel now? I think if you need the support from your mum then forget what's usually done or what other people do, and talk to her.
My other thought was, what a cruel time to feel disappointed and upset at not being pregnant, right during PMS! I find a walk around the park difficult in PMS sometimes lol, let alone this!

I was up all night worrying about how on earth I'll find another job in a pandemic, especially if I do get pregnant, and worrying about how I'll feel if I don't this month and I've lost my job too lol.
Ugh. Life's tough sometimes.

@Wondergirl1111 Oh god that's not great, hopefully find something soon! Try not stress about it, I'm looking for a new job as my job is tipping me over the edge!
I think maybe tell my mum soon! I'm probably just upset because of AF.
I think my OH telling me he was sad made it a bit worse for me but I'm so glad he told me.
Fingers crossed in the next few months it'll happen for us both. Probably when we least expect it

@Aims1991 sorry to hear about AF. It’s just so hard isn’t it, in the timescale for TTC 4 months isn’t very long but that doesn’t stop it from feeling like a million years does it? We’ve only been TTC since December and even now it feels like we’ve been trying for ages. Like others have said take time to be sad, it’s a big process we’re going through!!

@Wondergirl1111 really sorry to hear about your job. That’s really hard and on top of TTC make sure you look after yourself too 💕

We’ve not told anyone we’re TTC for exactly the reason you’ve said about stigma with time scales and miscarriages etc. I really really don’t want people asking me all the time how we’re getting on as I think it will only exacerbate any frustrations. But you’re totally right, you’d tell close friends/mums etc anyway so why not? I decided that as soon as I become worried or upset about not conceiving that I’d speak to my mum or a friend and perhaps that’s a good idea?

I think talking to mum's will defo help! After all they went through this too!

So guys I just had a breakdown crying about my job and thought fuck it lets make it all worse and take a test and really have a wallow. So I did and omg. There is the faintest line.
Harder to see in pics but it's defo there - I know it could be an evap - should I test again and what do you think?

@Aims1991 I think so! Do you know how long it took your mum to conceive? She might turn round and completely put your mind at ease.

@Wondergirl1111 omg talk about fate, perhaps you for got this urge for this very reason! If it was me I would definitely wait until the morning. Although tempting, doing another one now will probably mean squeezing out another wee or having lots to drink, either way not the best to use and might just mess with you. Do it in the morning and see what happens 💕💕

@Wondergirl1111 I had the same the first time I took one of them.. I pulled the test apart and had a better look at the strip and it was clearer. How exciting

Hi ladies, been quiet on here recently but have been checking in to see how everyone is progressing.

@Ze123 how have you got on with your testing. Looked like you had a positive for sure

@Wondergirl1111 so sorry to hear about your job. I can only imagine the stress that adds to everything. Have to say I see the faint line in both pictures! How exciting that you could have conceived in the first month! Everything crossed for you and so excited for your next update.

I’m on CD38 after using OPKs and BBT I’m still not clear on whether I ovulated as I had no strong peaks or raised temperature. Also have irregular periods so do not know when to even expect AF. It really makes everything harder as I have no clear DPO so just feel like I’m in limbo. I’ve had a lot of back pain and CM over last few days but that could all be AF related. Just thought I would share incase there are any other ladies who are a bit irregular like me.

Hey! Well I’m now 5 days post when my period should have started, all my tests are getting darker by the day and so I’ve come to the conclusion that yes I am pregnant 😀 I still won’t believe it until I see pregnant on a digital but holding off until the weekend for that one! Going off clear blues instructions and this is the 3rd one of these I’ve done all the same!

Need a bit of help!!! So was about to get into the shower and thought bloody hell my nipples looked dark. Thought I’d do a rule out test because the not knowing eats me up even more. But got these?!!!!! Evap or very faint BFP?? I’m 8/9 dpi ok different apps so I know very very early.

*8/9 dpo on different apps. Not thinking straight 😂

In my news I got my peak OPK this morning so we had some lunch time baby dancing 😂 also DTD last night so I am shattered now lol. Got a temp spike this morning too which I thought was odd as thought that happened after you get the peak OPK? Maybe it's different for everyone. Going to try again tomorrow DTD then I reckon we need a rest as been at it like rabbits since the weekend 😂

After getting my static smiley on clearblue advanced on Monday 8th feb similar to you @HaresHoping we've been busy 😅😅😅 BUT.....I got curious this evening and retested on clearblue and got another static smiley...so we've kept it going tonight and will tomorrow aswell I think 😅😂 My period tracker is called clue.... Iv used it monthly for 10 years, it's always BANG ON,...says I ovulate tomorrow.....so 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

@sack83 yay for the static smiley! But my goodness you must be shattered 😂 I'm using Clue as well (plus Ovia, Fertility Friend, Glow and Femometer 😂) and most of them say I ovulate tomorrow, plus I've taken three OPKs throughout the day and the line keeps getting darker, so we'll prob try again tomorrow eve. Then I def want a few days off for good behaviour 😂 don't get me wrong it's really lovely but I am quite tired now... exciting though!

@HaresHoping 🤣🤣 I'm such a newbie to this i Havnt a clue what I'm doing! I had in my head that once u get the static smiley on clear blue you have 24 hours but I was surprised to get a 2nd static smiley 48 hours after the 1st. I had sort of given up for this month. Definitely would have been a mistake! We're around the same cycle day, fingers crossed if we get a positive between the 2 of us that would be grand 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 it's really nice to see the number of potential positives in this group so far ❤️

Thanks everyone for your lovely wishes... So I have lost my job and got my BFP within the same week. I'm absolutely petrified and unfortunately my fear has overshadowed my joy a little - but This was our first month trying - so I'm trying to see it as meant to be! The universe obviously had other plans for me around how I thought this would all work out... Who knows what they are but we will see!

My emotions are absolutely up the wall and I'm really hoping it's pregnancy hormones which are making me feel this upset for my job.

Anyway! Here's my test from this morning... With a much darker line!

So Im 12dpo now - af was due in a few days. Had cramps 4-8dpo then nothing - with a vfl frer at 11dpo and BFP 12DPO.

WOW. I can't believe in writing this - I honestly wasn't expecting it but I guess if it hadn't happened this month, maybe with my job situation I would have put it on hold! Life has its strange ways! I also haven't told my husband yet as he's not at home so I am hoping when we do a test together it will feel more real!

Lots of love to you all and hoping for your BFPs - I'm going to do a clear blue digital at the weekend just to make sure as I know these things aren't always definite!

@Wondergirl1111 congratulations 🥳 such exciting news, so very pleased for you. Lots of BFP coming through giving me hope. Really sorry to hear about your job, life is so unpredictable but always has a way of working out in the end. Try not to let it overshadow this wonderful news, it may only happen once so make the most of it.

Still no AF for me but lots of AF symptoms and some light spotting yesterday so any day now I think. Pleased my cycle is longer than I predicted but when AF didn't show on CD 22 really thought it was time to order the tests!! If there's still nothing by tomorrow I will but otherwise just want to get on with the next cycle 🙈
