Newbie TTC 2021 club!

Hi girls - looking for a little crew to share the ttc journey with - we are newbies this year - decided on Jan 31st to start trying after 12 years together! but had literally just missed my ovulation day for that cycle, so even though we had some fun over NY we are properly starting next cycle around the end of the month - just have to wait to finish this cycle now, and I've never wanted a period to come so quickly haha!

So - any cycle sisters out there who will be trying with me on or around end of Jan? I'm Cd21 right now.

And feel free to share stories and ages!

I'm 34 and have been off the pill for about 2 years now - we don't really use protection just pull out lol and never had a scare so I'm a little worried we could have a bit of a long journey. Although my mum conceived me first time trying so I'm praying it's in the genetics lol!

Not sure about you but I'm already getting obsessed which seems to be pretty normal lol but it would be good to have some pals to talk to rather than my cat or my husband, who I think I could quite quickly freak out if he knew just how many mum'snet threads I've read!

Also... What are you most looking forward to being pregnant?

@Ze123 that's definately darker. I couldn't really see the first one and I can see that one clear as day. I think it's positive!! 🤞🥳

@Ze123 thats definitely darker than yesterday 🎉🥳 I don't blame you for doing another in the night. Got everything crossed it keeps getting darker 🤞 you gonna test again tonight or try and wait till tomorrow? 😁

Soo excited for you and can almost feel on your behalf how nervous/excited you must be feeling!!

Another quick question ladies, sorry it's definitely a TMI type topic!! Out of people who check their cervix, can anyone actually feel it if becomes softer/harder? I can feel the different positions but haven't mastered feeling the difference the other way.

@ElizabethP141 how are you doing girl? What CD/DPO are you now?

I literally have no idea how to check cervix - or what any of it means! Would love for knowledgeable (basically anything as I know nothing lol!) ladies to share the wisdom!

I'm on 9dpo over here and had a BFN on an IC this morning, I know it's early but I'm feeling a little flat today.
Had cramps and twinges 5dpo- 8dpo which I think is unusual for me over a week before af due ... but nothing now xx

So after about 5/6 days of cramps and different pains and sore boobs. I have nothing now! AF due in a few days so not sure! Not tested because I really don't want to see a BFN! So I will just wait and see if I'm late

@Wondergirl1111 I’m good thank you!!! How’re you?! I was a little MIA this weekend and actually I think it did me good, this TTC can get quite intense can’t it!

I’m now 7dpo, am trying desperately hard not to symptom spot because I did that and turns out I hadn’t even Ov 😂 having said that, I’ve got very sore nipples and boobs (on one side particularly) but that just could be my normal pre AF.

Haha me neither really!! I’ve just heard that it’s higher during FW and high if you’ve conceived (I think) but only going on how high it is based on how easy it is to touch ( apologies gross tmi I know!!) so yes definitely like you said any knowledgable ladies please help!!

Yes I can imagine feeling a little flat definitely. Like you said it’s definitely early but you can’t help feeling hopefully nonetheless. I’m praying those twinges and cramps will turn into a BFP that still sticking and nuzzling itself in🤞Xxxx

Hi ladies, I spend most of the time on here lurking & not commenting but it's been so helpful. So thank you 👍😁 I got my LH surge this evening (static smiley on clear blue). When I tested this morning it was flashing smiley, it's been flashing since morning of CD11 (I'm on CD14 now). So LH has peaked sometime between 7:30am this morning and 7:30pm this evening. Of course we DTD as soon as I saw static smiley this evening 😂 I wanted to ask....does that mean ovulation occurs in the next 24/48 hours so ideally we should DTD tomorrow and following day also? Or was tonight the last hurrah as such 😂😂😂 and then starts my first TWW? 💁🏻‍♀️

Hey @sack83! You’re really tempting me to use OPKs - if I don’t fall pregnant this month relying on Flo app to tell me ovulation dates then I will definitely be using OPK next month!

I think the egg can live 12-26 hours after ovulation so I DTD the day after too, just in case! Xx

Thanks @JoannaRose 😁 yeh I have found clearblue advanced so so good. Highly recommend. Iv never used the other ones as this is cycle 1 for me. I had ovulation pain this morning, which makes sense with the LH surge lastnight....so I think one last time for good measure 😂🙈 one of the benefits of working from home I guess 😅😅😅 And then the TWW begins. Hope everyone else is getting on ok 🤞😁

@Ze123 so excited for you, hope you get a darker line again on the next test. Are you going to do it today or try and hold out till tomorrow?

I'm really confused (and really trying not to get my hopes up), was 100% certain AF was imminent about 5 days ago, had cramps, was tired, moody, sore boobs. Still nothing!! This is CD 23 and last month had a 22 day cycle but not been regular since coming off the pill. I'm thinking AF is just taking her time but if she's not here by Thursday I'll test. Thought I was out this cycle so and was OK with it, don't want to get my hopes up then AF appears as soon as I order the tests 🙈 how's everyone else doing? @Wondergirl1111 I know your cycle is very close to mine. How's the tww going, any symptoms? 🤞

@Ze123 that really looks like a positive to me!!!!!!! So exciting! I understand keeping balanced but if it were me I'd be doing a little dance around the bathroom right now!

@Aims1991 sorry to hear you're spotting - do you usually spot? Couldn't be implantation could it?

@KM11 this all sounds promising for you!!! So you're technically a day late? Have you done any tests so far?? Really have my fingers crossed for you - let us know when you test!!!!

I'm feeling ok - I'm 10dpo today... Had cramps 4-8 dpo now nothing. Have done a couple of IC tests past two days and stark white BFNs. But - and @aims1991 Im not sure when your due your af - mine is still due 6 days from now - but I keep googling 9/10dpo bfn and the general consensus is that it's waaay too early for most people to get bfp's - I think maybe it feels so long since fertile window we think it must be now or never but really it's still very early! So I'm trying to hold onto that!!! I tell you what though... I didn't know I wanted it this bad until you realise it might not happen!!!

@Wondergirl1111 AF was due Wednesday/Thursday! I don't really have any cramp and when I normally get AF I'm sore and feel like my lower is so full! I'm at work so trying to take my mind off it and maybe it's spotting! TMI but it was pinky and I thought implantation was browny, maybe I'm wrong🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m out from today ladies! A day early AF 🥳🤣

Sorry she arrived @lottieb92 - at least a day early means you begin on the next go sooner! I kind of like that at least as soon as you know you're out when af arrives, you're straight onto the next cycle starting fresh on day 1.

@aims1991 - I think it can be pink or brown! Have read lots of women saying they have pink! Has it stopped for now? No cramps and just a little spotting sounds promising to me! You're not out until af arrives in full swing! Ugh so torturous how spotting could be symptoms of both implantation AND af - so cruel. Have my FX for you! xxx

@Wondergirl1111 I'm at work so used a tampon incase it's AF! I told my other half and I got a little upset and he said it really makes him sad too! I didn't think he would react like that so I was taken back by it! I just feel it will be AF, I always say I'm that's not lucky for it to happen this soon! Been trying properly since December so not that long🤷🏻‍♀️

@Aims1991 that's so sweet that your OH was disappointed too. It's lovely to know you both want your baby as much as the other one!
My DH doesn't seem to check in with me much on the progression and I'm a little reluctant to let him in on just how much of my headspace it's consuming. We have been trying 1 month less than you and I know what you mean - it seems as if we'd just be too lucky for it to happen this early!
Having said that I know a few people including my mum who got pregnant first month trying... I'm hoping it's genetic but she was about 7 years younger when she had me than i am now lol!

Thank god you have work to keep you busy - is it working?
Also gross I know but the tampon was a great idea as you'll be able to see exactly what's going on when you remove it lol!!!!!
