Hi everyone just after any advice at all really as I’m driving myself crazy.

So I started ttc my 2nd since October 2020 and I got pregnant first time but it was a chemical pregnancy, unfortunately.
I’ve always had a regular 28 day cycle. This month is tart doing an ovulation test (first time don’t really know what all the lingo is 😂) and I only got a positive on day 22 of my cycle. Af is now two days late according to my normal 28 day cycle, but if I ovulated late does that mean my period will be late?
I have been feeling a bit sick but I don’t know if that’s just in my head.

Any word of wisdom appreciate x

My understanding is that your ovulation date can change every cycle but your luteal phase would remain the same length. So if your usual ovulation day was cd14 and your luteal phase was 14 days long then that would result in a 28 day cycle. If you ovulated for whatever reason on cd22 then your luteal phase would remain 14 days and you’d have a 36 day cycle.

Yes, late ovulation means later period. Your luteal phase, or the time between ovulation and period, is the same every month and is usually around 14 days.

Thank you both for your replies.
I guess I'll just have to keep doing ovulation test each month to help then 😩 this is a much longer process than it was with my first. X
