BFP, BFN, BFP AND BFN

Hi guys,

Can anyone help?

Yesterday afternoon I had a vvfl on a one step IC, I repeated the same test 4 hours later and got a BFN (not even a hint of a shadow). Retested with the same test this morning with FMU and bfn. Retested this afternoon and BFP darker and more obvious than yesterday! I then done a FRER and BFN! Don't know what to think??

Any advice? Pictures attached...

How late is your AF OP and how sensitive are the tests? I would do a FRER with FMU in 48 hours to give the chance for hormones to double and set the test off more definitively. Baby dust xx

I've had that happen - likely a chemical pregnancy. Did the line on the IC take a long time to come up?

@Wibblewobble99 I'm only 10dpo so AF due on Tuesday but the FRER is a 6 days early one.

@HavelockVetinari came up with 5 minutes easily.

Guess I will just have to wait and see

The early ones are a bit of a swiz I sometimes think, even at 5 days before AF I think they’re only 70% something accurate. So there’s defo hope yet. Hoping you know soon xx

Maybe the frer today was just too dilute? The Ic bfp today looks definite to me!

I think I can see the faintest shadow on the frer. You’re testing so early think you should test again with fmu and a frer. I’m 11dpo and got a bfp this am with a frer and had done at least 6 of the same cheap blue ones in the previous 48 hours all totally negative. Even today couldn’t get the blue one positive.

@Cantrecall I'd usually get it the other way around and have the FRER BFP and IC BFN! My head is fired because my IC with first morning was completely negative and now back to positive again but if I was to do another test it's probably be negative again 🤦🏻‍♀️ xx

@Pentamix id usually swear by First response and them and boots are the only ones I trust to give me a BFP but I've also never had a line on a one step IC so this is my first. Even when I was pregnant they still had no line 🤷🏻‍♀️ XX

Just thought I'd keep you all updated. All BFN this morning so guess it was a couple of dodgy tests x thank you all though x
