BFP (I think) and BFN? Help!

Could someone help me please? Yesterday I used a FRR test and had a faint second line. Today I’ve done another FRR and there is a faint line again but I’ve also done a CB Digital and it says not pregnant. Does this mean that I might not be pregnant?

I think these tests have different sensitivities. The digital needs a higher concentration of HCG to show a positive.

The other one definitely looks positive. Try another digital one in a couple of days.

The FRER is a lot more sensitive than the digital. When are you due AF?

Thank you so much for replying. That makes sense and I know the First Response ones are more sensitive. Yes I will test again in a couple of days. I don’t know whether to say to my husband ‘yay I’m pregnant’ and get all excited or not!

It definitely looks positive to me. When is your period due? You may not have enough HCG to get positive digital yet

@chica1990 I think AF is due on Sunday although this was the first month I didn’t track my temperature and use OPKs so I’m less sure. But I know it’s still early! Thanks!

@Newstart20 thank you and yes you must be right! I kind of wanted one that says ‘pregnant’ to be able to show my OH as he probably won’t understand the other one!

I would be excited OP! I didnt get a positive on clear blue digital till almost a week after AF was due! And that is a great line considering you are not due till Sunday

Could be a chemical or just early. Best always to wait until after af is due.

@parsnipsnotsprouts thank you, I’ve heard of chemical pregnancies but I don’t know much about it. I’ll definitely retest in a couple of days.

Digitalis have hardly any sensitivity and it's very doubtful you'd get a positive until well after a late period (at least a couple of days)

The line on the other test deffo means you are pregnant, a line is a line now matter how faint.

Leave it 2 more days and test again with a FRER and the line will likely be darker.

@TJ17 thank you that’s really helpful. I’ll see if the FRER (used the wrong acronym in the original post, oops!) is darker on Sunday when I think AF is due.

I know I tested very early I just had a few symptoms that were different to my usual PMS so I couldn’t wait. Fingers crossed and thanks so much for your replies!

Oh don't worry about it, my post sounded very sensible and controlled but when TTC both times I tested daily like a mad woman 😂

I know how it feels waiting each month and it's torture!

Let us know how it goes when you test again. Not sure if you know this but testing with your first urine of the day gets the strongest result as that is when the hormone in your wee is most concentrated 😊

I've attached pics of my tests from my 2nd pregnancy and as you can see by the dates, the line gets significantly darker in such a short space of time.

She's now 4 months old 😊

@TJ17 thanks so much, I have ordered more of the FRER tests so will test again on Sunday and hopefully will see a darker line!
I told my husband last night and we’re so excited!
Obviously I know things can go wrong especially at this early stage but we’re keeping positive. We’d been trying for four month and then decided to stop tracking and stressing over Christmas and this month it worked! 🥰

So I literally didn't get a positive on the digital at all i gave up doing them after my 12 week scan and I saw that I was deffo pregnant and all was ok.... but I got positives on the red dye tests like frer and one step...

Hi everyone ... currently need advice and off mad ! 🙈
So my period was due friday just gone so... 1 week ago i had a bleed for 1 day and a half then it disappeared and was reddy brown so putting that as implantation bleeding...
ive had nausea/ tender breasts ... the bumps on my areolas are more prominent and im weeing alot more... i did a test yesterday about 5pm so 1 day late for AF and it came up with a faint line.
Just a done another now and doesnt look to be anything there but i may have drank more so maybe diluted... but a line is a line right?
