Hi there,

Just feeling a bit confused as have been ttc for 2 months now and on CD25 I had a faint pink line on a first response early test. CD26 I had an even fainter line then CD28 I've got my period which was unexpected as I was waiting to test again. I'm just wondering what's happened, can it be I got false positives? I got the tests on Amazon so don't know if they could be dodgy?

Just after some advice, thanks Smile

@Hopingforbaby it sounds like you've had a chemical pregnancy, an embryo has started to implant and produced a small amount of hcg, but has then failed to progress any further, so the hcg falls and your period arrives more or less as normal, maybe a little late. Chemicals are sadly extremely common, and are easily detectable by modern early result tests.

Hope you're doing OK xxx

Hi @SamoyedFan123 thanks so much for your response, I wondered if it was something like that. I've found the whole process so emotional in a way I didn't imagine, just getting hopes up and then the disappointment, maybe I won't do early testing next time!

Xxx
