Ovulation Day???

Hi
It's our first time TTC so just a little curious about ovulation days. I am using two apps to track my cycle, one says ovulation day was yesterday (Flo App) and one says my ovulation day today (Clue App). I am just wondering has anyone had any experience of how accurate these apps are? Also is it possible to get pregnant after your ovulation day?

My cycle length is 33 days, my cycle is very regular. Today it is 20 days in.

I am going to get some ovulation tests for my next cycle if we are not successful this time

Hey @penguin7 welcome aboard the ttc train! I use a few apps but find Flo to be the most accurate as when I've tried ovulation tests they've matched up to Flo. I'd defo recommend using clear blue tests as they predict your 2 (or 4 depending which one you get) most fertile days. You can technically get pregnant in your 1 day post ovulation and this is typically still counted as high fertility time. Good luck x

Hi! To put it bluntly the apps just guess. They have no idea how long your luteal phase is and therefore cannot predict ovulation unless you feed them with more accurate data.

You need to be using ovulation predictor kits to help you pin point when ovulation is, but even then there is a range of up to 3 days for when ovulation could be. Only way to really know is to track your temperature but that might be overkill for you at this stage.
