Short luteal phase positive stories

Hi
Wondering if anyone can give any reassurance or positive stories!
Cycles have been all over the place since coil removal in September and I've been tracking ovulation since then:
Cycle 1 - 27 day cycle (ov day 14)
Cycle 2 - 24 day cycle (ov day 12)
Cycle 3 - 29 day cycle (ov day 15)

This cycle I am currently CD11 and according to CB ovulation test I got my peak this morning. That means I will have a 22 day cycle and an 11 day luteal phase! Does that count me out this month? We have DTD 5 times but not last night and were planning on DTD for the next 3 days to cover and then once mid next week but I'm worried there's no chance anything will happen now this month because the cycle will only be 22 days Confused

Also, sorry, at what point do I go to the GP because of irregular cycles? Will they just say it's not been enough time since coil removal?

Hi @TTCnum1 if your cycles are irregular how do you know your luteal phase length for this cycle. What coil did you have? It takes a while for after being on any hormonal birth control for you cycles to become regular. I wouldn't stress too much about it yet Smile

Hi OP, i had similar , in that I had a short luteal phase, often ovulating on day 16-17 in a 27/28 day cycle. I had a course of acupuncture which I was slightly sceptical about, but within 3 months I was ovulating day 14. Worth a try for you maybe?

How do you know when you ovulate?

Also you've just listed a 13, 12, and 14 day luteal phase so how exactly is that short?

Hi thanks for the replies! I had the mirena coil removed in September and track ovulation using a clear blue ovulation monitor (with the flashing and static smiley faces). For the last 3 months my luteal phase has been the same length of time as the length of time between start of period and ovulation. So in a 26 day cycle, ovulation would happen at day 13 so the LP would be 13 days. But this month using that "rule" I have ovulated on day 11 so my LP will be 11 days. If that makes sense? Meaning I except AF to arrive on day 22/23.

If you got a peak today you may not ovulate until CD12 or CD13. It's not a LP issue. If anything it could be a follicle phase issue but it's not that either because it's beyond 10 days before you ovulate.

Based on the LP days you've calculated, you're looking at a 24 day cycle at worst.
