Hello.

I need a little bit of help with knowing what this means. So I have 34/35 day cycle. So assumed ovulation cd18 I am cd11 and started checking ovulation with the sticks cd10. It seems to be getting darker but quite slow as you can see still no positive ?. And earlier than a thought? Any ideas on why it would take a while to happen, or If this looks relatively normal?? Thank you Grin

That's normal, the test line will stay light right up until 1 or 2 days before ovulation. You'll then normally see the test line get as dark, or darker than the control line for 1 or 2 days. Then ovulation happens 12-36 hrs after the last peak. The only way to confirm ovulation has happened is with BBT monitoring.

@ButterscotchBabe ah okay that’s alright then. So just keep monitoring it then. I’ll do another test at lunch time! Thank you Smile

If you normally ovulate on CD18, then I wouldn't expect to see a positive OPK until CD16/17 but if it's your first time using OPKs then good idea to start early as you never know! 🙂

Yes first time! I’ve never tracked my ovulation or anything. Total newbie. It’s just building up to positive already and thought that was early but maybe not maybe I’m over thinking! Thanks Smile
