Hiya,

Really need some advice. I’m 41 and my partner is 47. We met late in life and weren’t planning children, mainly because I was told for years that my fibroids and painful periods would mean conceiving was incredibly unlikely.

We tried one time just so we could say we’d ‘given nature a chance’ and I ended up pregnant. I can’t tell you what a complete shock this was....happy shock, but I was completely unprepared.

Very sadly that pregnancy ended at 6 weeks over Xmas. However it potentially left some doors open to us that we thought were firmly closed. Now we would like to do things properly and perhaps try again if circumstances are appropriate.

Do any of you know what scans/tests/other things we should do do give nature the very best possible chance here? What should i be googling?

Thank you so much in advance. This forum was a godsend over the holidays in helping me manage the MC, hoping your wonderful hive mind can help me out again.

Lots of love and thanks in advance xxx

I’m not sure but I didn’t want to read and run. Generally taking folic acid is the go to and maybe have a general check up with your gp and speak to your consultant who diagnosed the fibroids to see where you go from here.
Good luck!
